Welcome everybody to the seventh of my rebooking series, this time I’m rebooking Wrestlemania 7. This show had a massive 14 match card and I’m going to do my best to make this show even better.

Next up let’s have a look at the roster.
Faces: Big Boss Man, Greg Valentine, Hulk Hogan, Jake Roberts, Jim Duggan, Jimmy Snuka, Kitao, Koko B. Ware, Ricky Steamboat, Tenryu, The British Bulldog, The Texas Tornado, The Ultimate Warrior, Tito Santana, Tugboat, Virgil
Face Tag Teams: The Bushwhackers, The Hart Foundation, The Legion Of Doom, The Rockers
Heels: Colonel Mustafa, Dino Bravo, Earthquake, Haku, Mr Perfect, Randy Savage, Rick Martel, Sgt Slaughter, Ted DiBiase, The Barbarian, The Mountie, The Undertaker, The Warlord
Heel Tag Teams: Demolition, Power & Glory, The Nasty Boys
So with that in mind, here is the rebooking of Wrestlemania 7.

The Rockers (Shawn Michaels & Marty Jannetty), Tito Santana & Koko B. Ware vs. Power & Glory (Paul Roma & Hercules), Haku & The Barbarian
Original Wrestlemania Match: The Rockers vs. Haku & The Barbarian, Tito Santana vs. The Mountie, Power & Glory vs. The Legion Of Doom.
Booking: I’ve thrown eight men together in one big match here in an extension of the match that took place between The Rockers and Haku & The Barbarian. Koko B. Ware didn’t actually make the main card but he and Tito Santana bring a good energy, similar to that of The Rockers. Combine to big heel tag teams and they make the perfect foil for the babyface team.
Result: The Rockers, Tito Santana and Koko B. Ware win to kick off the show.

Tugboat vs. Dino Bravo
Original Wrestlemania Match: Dino Bravo vs. The Texas Tornado
Booking: Tugboat didn’t feature on this card but I feel he was over enough to have a match. Dino Bravo lost to The Texas Tornado and true to form he will be looking up at the lights again this time.
Result: Tugboat wins by pinfall.

The British Bulldog vs. The Warlord
Original Wrestlemania Match: The British Bulldog vs. The Warlord
Booking: This one goes down exactly as it did at Wrestlemania VII. Two big powerhouses but only ever one winner.
Result: The British Bulldog wins by pinfall.

The Hart Foundation (c) vs. The Nasty Boys – Tag Team Championship match
Original Wrestlemania Match: The Hart Foundation vs. The Nasty Boys
Booking: This is another match that goes down exactly as it did at Wrestlemania VII. The Nasty Boys win the match before going on to feud with The Legion Of Doom whilst The Hart Foundation have an amicable split.
Result: The Nasty Boys win the Tag Team Championships.

The Texas Tornado vs. Rick Martel
Original Wrestlemania Match: The Texas Tornado vs. Dino Bravo, Rick Martel vs. Jake Roberts.
Booking: I weighed up keeping Martel and Jake Roberts but instead decided to mix things up a little. Texas Tornado and Rick Martel were two very talented midcarders at the time, both near to the Intercontinental Championship with Tornado being the previous holder of the belt. This is a match that could go either way but seeing that it’s Wrestlemania, the win goes to Kerry Von Erich, The Texas Tornado.
Result: The Texas Tornado wins by pinfall.

Jake Roberts vs. The Undertaker
Original Wrestlemania Match: Jae Roberts vs. Rick Martel, The Undertaker vs. Jimmy Snuka.
Booking: We all know this match happened at Wrestlemania VIII but what if it happened a year prior with the babyface/heel role reversed? Jake Roberts as the popular babyface and The Undertaker as the heel. This match can only end one way and that’s a win for The Undertaker.
Result: The Undertaker wins by pinfall.

Ultimate Warrior vs. Randy Savage
Original Wrestlemania Match: Ultimate Warrior vs. Randy Savage
Booking: This match was near perfection for me and I wouldn’t change a thing.
Result: Ultimate Warrior wins by pinfall.

The Legion Of Doom vs. Demolition
Original Wrestlemania Match: Legion Of Doom vs. Power & Glory, Demolition vs. Tenryu & Kitao
Booking: It’s criminal that this match didn’t happen on the show. Legion Of Doom vs. Demolition is the match most have dreamt of and instead they faced other tag teams. Crush may have replaced Ax by this point so it wasn’t the Demolition we would have liked to have seen but this is just about good enough for me.
Result: Legion Of Doom win by pinfall.

Mr Perfect (c) vs. Ricky Steamboat – Intercontinental Championship match
Original Wrestlemania Match: Mr Perfect vs. The Big Boss Man
Booking: Ricky Steamboat was back in the WWE at this point but signed too late to be added to the Wrestlemania card. Well in this rebooking, he makes the card and not only that, he gets a shot at the Intercontinental Championship. This ia a dream match in any era and one I would have loved to have seen in 1991. Mr Perfect would win this one but not cleanly, allowing the rivalry to continue before Perfect moves on to Bret Hart.
Result: Mr Perfect wins by pinfall.

Jim Duggan vs. Earthquake
Original Wrestlemania Match: Earthquake vs. Greg Valentine
Booking: Jim Duggan didn’t originally feature on this card but I think he deserved a shot. Earthquake was showing no signs of slowing down and although he did beat Greg Valentine at the show, Jim Duggan would have been a much tougher opponent. At the end of the day though, the result is the same.
Result: Earthquake wins by pinfall.

Virgil vs. Ted DiBiase
Original Wrestlemania Match: Virgil vs. Ted DiBiase
Booking: This was the end of a long story between these two men and it would be criminal to change the match. Virgil was the man who needed to win, even though it was just by countout. So that all stays the same.
Result: Virgil wins by countout.

Big Boss Man vs. The Mountie
Original Wrestlemania Match: Mr Perfect vs. The Big Boss Man, Tito Santana vs. The Mountie
Booking: This rivalry was inevitable. We know of the Jailhouse match between the two at Summerslam but I feel like a match at Wrestlemania with The Mountie picking up the win with use of his cattleprod would have led to Summerslam nicely. So that’s how I’m going to book this one.
Result: The Mountie wins by pinfall.

Sgt Slaughter (c) vs. Hulk Hogan
Original Wrestlemania Match: Sgt Slaughter vs. Hulk Hogan
Booking: I’ve stuck with the original main event for this one. It was a hot angle at the time and Slaughter was such a good heel to the babyface Hogan. I’ll keep it as it went, Hulk Hogan wins the belt but I did go back and forth in my head on this one. Hogan wins the big one.
Result: Hulk Hogan wins by pinfall.
