1987 Super Card

Welcome to my third ever Super Card.

Like my previous Super Card posts, I am going to analyse the four PPV’s held by WWF and WCW in 1987 and put together a Super Card based on the matches booked that year. I say four, technically it’s a six show year as there were three Great American Bash events. My only rule is that I cannot select a wrestler twice.

The PPV’s I am wading through are Wrestlemania III, NWA Great American Bash 1987 (Atlanta & North Carolina & Miami), WWF Survivor Series 87, and NWA Starrcade 87.

In the end I have settled on a ten match card. It’s a lot of matches but Wrestlemania III did have 12 so it’s not too many.

Amazingly there were no matches I wanted from either The Great American Bash events or Survivor Series. So the ten matches I have selected were from Wrestlemania and Starrcade. The Survivor Series matches were pretty easy to rule out and in the end the Starrcade matches were far better than those at GAB. This is the first of my Super Card shows to feature a WWF main event, rather than NWA/WCW.

I am happy with how my card turned out, so let’s go check it out.
