Welcome everybody to the 21st Stat Pack in my journey through WWE history. I have reviewed 5 PPVs since my last Stat Pack and since then Triple H lost the WWF title to The Big Show and won it back again! He’s now married happily to Stephanie McMahon who turned her back on her father. Chyna has lost the Intercontinental title to Chris Jericho, D-lo lost the European title to The British Bulldog who in turn lost it to newcomer Kurt Angle. The Women’s title has gone from Ivory to Miss Kitty to Harvina Wippleman to Jacqueline whilst The New Age Outlaws are still the Tag Team Champions.

If you’ve no t read one of my stat packs befofe then you’re in for a treat with this one. I have been reviewing every WWE PPV from the very begining back at the original Wrestlemania. I have now reviewed 105 PPVs all the way to Royal Rumble 2000 and along the way I have been putting all the stats together from PPV matches wrestled to win ratio’s to best title reigns, tag teams and managers. 5 new PPVs have been added to the all time rankings list. The highest new entry is the first show of 2000, Royal Rumble 2000. That goes right in at the #3 spot and it really was a great show from top to bottom. Armageddon and Rebellion both manage to get into the top 20 but No Mercy and Survivor Series were both disappointing shows and are placed at #62 and #65 respectively. Overall this puts 1999, a year during the largely successful Attitude Era at 6th overall as the yearly rankings going. It puts 1999 between 1994 and 1992. So overall a disappointing year for PPVs. 2000 based off the first show goes right in at #1. Could it just be downhill from here? We’ll have to find out as the year goes on.

There have been 105 PPVs reviewed so far and the top 5 on this list have all wrestled on over half of them. The British Bulldog is the only man in the top 5 to have wrestled on any of the last 5 shows reviewed and so he jumps up a position to joint 4th alongside Shawn Michaels. The top 5 has been pretty consistant now for a whileand although Billy Gunn has kept his spot in 6th, he has moved further away form the top 5 after wrestling on only 4 of the last 5 PPVs. Triple H has jumped up a spot from 8th to 7th after wrestling on all 5 of the last 5 shows, Mick Foley keeps his 8th position whilst Steve Austin drops down 2 spots after getting injured at Survivor Series. The Rock is a new entry on the list, knocking Goldust off. This list is still very much split into a top 5 and a bottom 5.

This list has exactly the same ten men as the last list but in a slightly different order. The top 6 are exactly the same, even to Michaels and Bulldog being joint with one another. Steve austin was joint with Mick Foley on the last Stat Pack but due to him being injured, he’s dropped down to 9th place. Triple H jumps up a place to 8th whilst The Rock is now 10th on his own and Goldust has also dropped off this list. Bret Hart has not featured on a WWF PPV for over two years now but keeps his position in second.

I have decided to turn this list into a top 15. With a top 10 you don’t really get a good taste as to who has the best records. You get a lot of two match only deals like Butterbean, Mini Nova, Mr T and The Jumping Bomb Angels and not a lot of substance. Anyway, the top 6 all stay the same on this list, the same as the last stat pack with the only difference being that Ivory has completely dropped off this list, form a 100% record to a 50% win percentage. So everybody else moves up a place. Fabulous Moolah is a new entry having won matches at both Survivor Series and No Mercy. It takes a 66% win percentagr to get on this list, and a minimum of 6 matches if you’ve only got the 66%.

This top 10 is quite similar to the most matches. It figures really, the more matches, the more wins. The top 4 for this list stays the same with Steve Austin dropping down from joint 4th with the Bulldog to joint 5th with Billy Gunn. Gunn has jumped up from 7th to joint 5th. Shawn Michaels drops down a position to 7th, Triple H goes from joint 9th to 8th, Hulk Hogan drops down to 9th whilst The Rock is a new entry in at 10th, at the expense of Randy Savage.

There have been quite a few changes to this list since the last Stat Pack. The only change to the top 5 is The British Bulldog moving up to joint 4th with Shawn Michaels. He’s lost 4 matches on the last 5 PPVs putting him right amongst it at the top. As a result, Goldust drops down to 6th. Mick Foley’s losses ot the likes of Val Venis and Triple H put him up to 7th. Whilst 3 losses for Billy Gunn moves him up to 8th. Tito Santana moves down from 6th to 9th joint with two newcomers in The Big Boss Man and Sean Waltman who have had a bad time recently. There is one new addition to both the best match and worst match lists. Triple H and Cactus Jack had a fantastic street fight at Royal Rumble 2000 which is definitely the match of Triple H’s career up to this point and arguably Mick Foleys best too. In terms of the worst, the women’s Survivor Series match in 1999 is the joint worst match I have seen on a PPV. It probably has a lot to do with the age of Moolah and Mae Young as well as how green the likes of Debra, Tori and Terri Runnels were.

The enter this list whilst it’s The New Age Outlaws who are dropped off after two wins from four over the last 5 PPVs which puts them down to a 65% win record.

Look at that for a bizarre list of individuals. There are a lot of guys on this list that you would not expect to see. Prince Albert? Aldo Montoya? Those two in particular have benefitted from being in Royal Rumble matches. Vince and Shane McMahon might not be full time WWE superstars but they have put on some great matches. As has Chainsaw Charlie who sits atop of this list. If I were to split Mick Foley up into his three characters then Cactus Jack would be top of the list, Dude Love 4th and Mankind 12th. In terms of difference from the same list on the last Stat Pack, Vince McMahon has fallen from 1st to 3rd, Prince Albert is the highest new entrant in 2nd, The Hardy Boyz have dropped from 3rd to 5th, and Ric Flair has gone up form 5th to 4th. The botom 5 guys stay the same.

8 out of the 10 wrestlers on this list are female. How much is that a bad advert for women’s wrestling? There is a new joint 1st place with Fabulous Moolah joining Corporal Kirchner. Ivory drops down a position whilst Tori jumps up from 6th to 4th. Debra is the highest new entry in 6th, notice how a lot of these girls took part in the abysmal 1 out of 10 rated Survivor Series match? Luna is the other new entrant in joint 9th which knocks Recon and Sniper off the list altogether.

The top 7o on this list stays exactly the same as the last stat pack. That is despite 5 of them not even wrestling on the last 5 PPVs. Triple H is a new entry and goes straight in at number 8. Billy Gunn drops down to 9th and The Rock keeps his spot in 10th. Mick Foley is the man to miss out, he was 9th on the last Stat Pack and has completely fallen off the list this time as both Triple H and The Rock leapfrog him. In case you’re wondering, the formula for this combines matches wrestled, won, match ratings and main events. To me if shows who has been the most important superstars to WWF PPV history.

As you can see, the women do not rank as highly as the men. In fact, when joined with the men, the #1 here Sable would just about crack the top 70. But I figured I’d do a women’s list based on te same formula as above. Sable keeps her top spot but she is now joined in second by Chyna who has jumped up from 6th. Alundra Blayze and Nicole Bass slip down a spot whilst Ivory goes from 8th to 5th on this list. The Jumping Bomb Angels drop a spot whilst The Fabulous Moolah is a new entry and goes in at number 7. Luna falls from 4th down to 8th with her score actually decreasing. Sapphire drops 2 spots, Aja Kong drops 1 position whilst Bertha Faye drops off the list completely. It’s amazing to see Luna decrease in score, mainly due to the poor quality matches she has been in and her struggle to get a victory.

There is just one change to this list and that is Ivory coming in as a new entry following successful Women’s title defences over the likes of Tori, Luna and Jacqueline. With titles changes happening more frequently, it makes it very hard for new champions to establish decent reigns.

This list just goes to show that managers don’t have great PPV managerial records. Most of this list stays the same as the last stat pack as you would expect. Curtis Hughes is a new entry after accompanying Chris Jericho to the ring in recent months. He’s joint 4th with Diesel and Jacqueline. That’s the only change but as a reult it drops Frenchy Martin of the list.

This list stays exactly the same as the last Stat Pack. No changes whatsoever but poor Hillbilly Jim stays at the top with the title of worst ever manager. It takes  amuch higher percentage to get on this list than the previous one, but like I said, managers don’t tend to do their clients well!
