Welcome everybody to my 27th WWE Stat Pack! I have been watching every WWF PPV from the very beginning, back from Wrestlemania 1 and reviewing each and every show. Every 5 PPVs I have put together and updated a stat pack which records all the major stats, facts and figures from the big shows. Within this Stat Pack you’ll see all the PPVs ranked as well as which wrestlers have fought the most matches, who has the most wins and losses, all matches rated and who has the best average match rating as well as figures on the tag teams, managers and much more. This Stat Pack covers from the original Wrestlemania through to Wrestlemania 18, all 135 PPVs.

The last Stat Pack was posted following Rebellion 2001 and since then, the Invasion has officially finished. WWF beat the Alliance banishing the Alliance roster although they have all been re-hired over the past few months. Stone Cold Steve Austin was the WWF Champion at Rebellion, defeating The Rock but since then a unification night was held, unifying the WWF Championship with the wCw Championship. Chris Jericho beat Austin, becoming the Undisputed Champion. Since then though, Jericho lost the title to Triple H at Wrestlemania. Edge was the Intercontinental Champion when I posted the last Stat Pack but since then the belt has gone from Edge to William Regal to Rob Van Dam. The Tag Team titles have been lost by the Dudley Boyz to Spike Dudley and Tazz and now Billy Gunn and Chuck Palumbo. The Women’s Championship has also been revived and after Trish Stratus won the belt originally, she has now lost it to newcomer Jazz.

As you can see, 2001 and 2002 so far have been fantastic years for the WWF. Of the 5 newest PPV’s I’ve reviewed, Wrestlemania 18 is the highest new entry, going right in at number 9. That is thanks to matches such as The Rock vs. Hulk Hogan which was an epic showdown that I rated at 9.5 out of 10. That show is followed by Vengeance 2001 at #10 and No Way Out 2002 at #11. Royal Rumble 2002 is down at #26 and Survivor Series 2001 is all the way down at joint 64th. So far 2002 is the best year in WWF PPV history but we’re only 3 PPVs in so a lot can change yet.

This top ten features the same ten men that were on this list in the last Stat Pack but in a different order. Undertaker and Triple H keep the top two spots but The Rock and Steve Austin have leapfrogged Bret Hart into joint third after wrestling on the last 5 PPVs. Billy Gunn goes up to 6th from 9th which drops Owen Hart and The British Bulldog down to joint 7th with Glenn Jacobs who has jumped up from 10th. Shawn Michaels has dropped down from 8th to 10th, just clinging on to this list having not wrestled on a PPV in four years.

This is the same top ten as the previous list but the guys are in a slightly different order. There are a few changes since the last Stat Pack too. The Rock has gone from 4th to 2nd after wrestling on the last 5 PPVs. Triple H stays in third but Stone Cold goes from 5th to 4th which means Bret Hart slips from 2nd to 5th. Billy Gunn rises one place into 6th whilst Owen Hart slips 2 places to 7th. British Bulldog also slips a place into 8th alongside Glenn Jacobs who is a new entry to the list. Shawn Michaels drops a position to 10th and it’s Sean Waltman (123 Kid/X Pac) who falls off the list completely.

It’s a top 15 for this list, which I prefer to a top 10 due to the amount of people in joint second place. Steven Richards wrestled, and lost, on pay per view and that was in the immunity battle royal at Survivor Series. That means his perfect record is tainted and as a result he drops down from 1st to 8th place. Rob Van Dam drops off the list from 11th place after losing to the likes of The Undertaker as well as multi-man matches at Survivor Series and Royal Rumble. Hulk Hogan rises a place from 14th to 13th despite losing to The Rock at Wrestlemania. The Steiner Brothers and Rhyno also rise a place, from 15th to 14th.

Wholesale changes to this list! It now takes 27 losses to get on it as opposed to 26. Undertaker has finally been caught at the top of the main events list and it’s by Stone Cold Steve Austin and that’s despite Austin wrestling 26 matches less. Much of the list then stays exactly the same as it did 5 PPVs ago until at the very bottom Kane and Kurt Angle, who both main evented Survivor Series, have caught Diesel with all three men main eventing 12 PPVs.

This is a new list I have decided to do for this Stat Pack. It features a lot of perennial midcarders who haven’t (yet?) main evented a pay per view. Edge leads the way with 46 matches and is closely followed by his “brother”. The top 5 have wrestled most of their matches as part of a tag team. Jake Roberts might be a surprise to many, he never main evented a PPV. All the others are as you would expect.

As the match quality just seems to be getting better and better it gets harder to get on this list. There are still some unexpected names on the list, names like Vince McMahon, Chainsaw Charlie and K-Kwik but they have all put on good pay per view matches. RVD just stays ahead of Chainsaw Charlie because he has wrestled more matches, keeping the quality higher over a longer period of time. The top 5 stay exactly the same, the first movement comes with Shane McMahon going from 9th to 6th, due to his part in the Survivor Series main event. Jericho goes from 10th to 7th, Vince McMahon drops to 8th, Steve Austin drops to 9th and Kurt Angle is a new entry in 10. Chris Benoit who hasn’t wrestled on pay per view in nearly a year drops off the list.
