Stat Pack Vol 30

Welcome everybody to my 30th WWE Stat Pack! I have been watching every WWF PPV from the very beginning, back from Wrestlemania 1 and reviewing each and every show. Every 5 PPVs I have put together and updated a stat pack which records all the major stats, facts and figures from the big shows. Within this Stat Pack you’ll see all the PPVs ranked as well as which wrestlers have fought the most matches, who has the most wins and losses, all matches rated and who has the best average match rating as well as figures on the tag teams, managers and much more. This Stat Pack covers from the original Wrestlemania through to Backlash 2003,  a whopping 150 PPVs.

The last Stat Pack I posted was just after Survivor Series 2002 and since then there have been some big changes to the top championships. The Big Show lost his WWE title to Kurt Angle at Armageddon before Angle lost it to the winner of the 2003 Royal Rumble match, Brock Lesnar. Shawn Michaels, who won the World Heavyweight Championship at Survivor Series lost his belt back to Triple H who still holds the title now. Billy Kidman lost his Cruiserweight Championship to Matt Hardy who still holds the belt now and the Women’s title has gone from Victoria to Trish Stratus to Jazz. Los Guerrero’s lost their WWE Tag Team titles to the rookie Team Angle and the World Tag Team titles have gone from Chris Jericho and Christian to Booker T & Goldust to Lance Storm & William Regal to The Dudley Boyz and now the belts are held by Rob Van Dam and Kane. Let’s get to the stats.

2002 was a great year overall and would’ve been the best year in terms of average PPV rating if not for Armageddon which dropped it just below 2001. The 56.78/100 for Armageddon put it on the all time list at 82nd out of 150. 2003 has started ok, putting it 4th on the yearly list. Wrestlemania 19 is the highest new entry, going in at 6th, higher than the ever popular Wrestlemania 17. Royal Rumble 2003 goes in at joint 37th, Backlash 2003 is at 71st and No Way Out 2003 joint 75th.

There have been 150 WWE PPVs up to now and The Undertaker has wrestled on nearly two thirds of them. He leads the way but Triple H has caught him up by 2 PPVs since the last Stat Pack. The Rock goes level with Austin in third following his comeback. With Billy Gunn getting injured, Kane has jumped above him, as has Shawn Michaels who jumps up from 8th to 6th. Billy Gunn drops two places to 7th and Bret drops one place to 8th. British Bulldog and Owen Hart keep their place in joint 9th but are now joined by Edge who could have gone higher had he not got injured before Wrestlemania.

Same names on this one as on the previous list but with a few tweaks. It’s also the same ten names as were on the last Stat Pack but with the added addition of Edge. The top 4 are exactly the same as last time but just below them, Glenn Jacobs joins Billy Gunn and Bret Hart in joint 5th. Shawn Michaels goes above Owen Hart into 8th position and the Bulldog stays in 10th but is now joined by Edge.

It now takes a 75% win record as opposed to a 66% win record to get on this list. The top 7 all stay the same with Max Mini leading the way. Torrie Wilson moves up from joint 9th to 8th following her victory over Dawn Marie at Royal Rumble 2003. Ricky Steamboat and Jamie Noble both drop a place as a result. Ultimate Warrior is still in 11th but Brock Lesnar is a re-entry in at 12th following five victories on the last five pay per views. Sable, Tiger Ali Singh and The Fabulous Moolah make up the list with their 75% records. This list features exactly the same ten men that were on the last stat pack. The Undertaker leads the way of course but Triple H has gained on him by two wins, separating himself from Steve Austin in the process. Austin stays in third but The Rock leapfrogs Bret Hart into fifth after wins over Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold himself. Billy Gunn clings on to his spot in 6th but the remaining four men on the list are joint on 27 wins as Shawn Michaels and Kurt Angle have now caught up with The British Bulldog and Owen Hart.

It now takes 29 losses as opposed to 28 losses to get on this list. The Undertaker is still top, like he is on most of these lists but following 3 losses on the last 5 PPVs, Kane has risen from 4th to 2nd. As a result Billy Gunn drops a place to third, joint with Triple H. The Rock is still in 5th but now Edge is on his own in 6th. Sean Waltman drops a place to 7th whilst Goldust rises a place to join him. Owen Hart drops a place to 9th and at the bottom of the list Stone Cold Steve Austin is now joined by Shawn Michaels and Christian. This list goes up top a top 16. There are a couple of changes, first with Rey Mysterio who was joint 8th and now flies up to joint 2nd following losses in the Royal Rumble as well as losses to the likes of Matt Hardy and The Big Show. The other change to this list is the addition of Maven who has now wrestled four PPV matches without winning and finds himself in joint 9th.

8. Mick Foley (17)
9. Kurt Angle (16)
10. Kane (13)

This list features names you would expect to see and they are the same ten names that were on this list in the last stat pack. They are practically in the same order too with the only different being that Kurt Angle is no longer joint with Kane and goes into 9th position on his own. This is the list you don’t want to be on! It goes from a top 10 to a top 11 with a new addition that I’ll come to in a second. Christian is still top of this list, going form 46 to 48 matches without a main event. Jeff Hardy leapfrogs Bradshaw and everything else stays the same except for Eddie Guerrero who has now wrestled 28 matches without main eventing.

3= Team Angle 100% (2 matches)
3= Lance Storm & Christian 100% (2 matches)
3= Spike Dudley & Tazz 100% (2 matches)
3= Big Boss Man & Bull Buchanan 100% (2 matches)
3= Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff 100% (2 matches)

13= Owen Hart & Jeff Jarrett 66.6% (3 matches)
13= The Nasty Boys 66.6% (3 matches)

This list stays as a top 15 and there is a new entry in Team Angle. Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin were successful in retaining their WWE Tag Team Championships against Los Guerrero and Chris Benoit and Rhyno at Wrestlemania 19 and then beat Los Guerrero’s again at Backlash 2003. That put them in joint third with a 100% record and as a result knows the New Age Outlaws off the list.

Tag Teams With Highest PPV Loss Percentage (2+ matches)

1= Edge & Rey Mysterio 100% (2 matches)

1= Strike Force 100% (2 matches)
1= The Bolsheviks 100% (2 matches)

10= Lance Storm & William Regal 66.6% (3 matches)
10= The Holly Cousins 66.6% (3 matches)
10= Chyna & Billy Gunn 66.6% (3 matches)
10= The Dream Team 66.6% (3 matches)
10= The Beverly Brothers 66.6% (3 matches)
10= Money Inc 66.6% (3 matches)
10= Power & Glory 66.6% (3 matches)
10= The Quebecers 66.6% (3 matches)
10= Skull & 8 Ball 66.6% (3 matches)

This list is getting a bit silly now. Way too many teams on a 66.6% loss record from 3 PPVs. Booker T and Goldust won their third PPV match together so moved down from the top of the list to joint 10th. Lance Storm and William Regal are a new entry to the list and they go in at joint 10th too. Los Guerrero’s are also a new entry, they’re in at 8th after losing three of their four PPV matches. Everyone else stays the same!

Highest Average Match Rating (2+ matches)

1. Cactus Jack (8.15)
2. Chainsaw Charlie (7.66)
3. K-Kwik (7.5)
4. Chris Benoit (7.37)
5. Kurt Angle (7.34)
6. Shane McMahon (7.3)
7. Rob Van Dam (7.25)
8. Vince McMahon (7.25)
9. Chris Jericho (7.2)
10. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin (7.16)

This list looks mostly the same as last time. Rey Mysterio has fallen right off it though, mostly in part to his poor match with The Big Show at Backlash, As a result Chainsaw Charlie, K-Kwik and Chris Benoit all move up a place. Kurt Angle goes from 7th to 5th, Shane McMahon from 8th to 6th and Rob Van Dam falls down a place to 7th. Vince McMahon moves up a place to 8th and Jericho up one to 9th. Stone Cold Steve Austin is a re-entry on this list, back in at number 10.

Lowest Average Match Rating (2+ matches)

1. Terri Runnels (1.66)
2. The Kat (2)
3. The Fabulous Moolah (2.5)
4. Corporal Kirchner (2.5)
5. Adrian Adonis (2.85)
6. Debra (2.875)
7. Velvet McIntyre (3)
8. Stacy Keibler (3.375)
9. Ivory (3.38)
10. Tori (3.4)

There are no changes to this list from the last Stat Pack. This one features mostly women and a couple of surprises including Ivory who could really wrestle.

Bastions Top 10

1. The Undertaker (40116)
2. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin (30525)
3. Triple H (29944)
4. The Rock (28386)
5. Bret Hart (24162)
6. Kurt Angle (21418)
7. Shawn Michaels (20447)
8. Owen Hart (17425)
9. Chris Jericho (17392)
10. Hulk Hogan (17085)

There are some surprising changes to this list. This list is made up of a formula of matches wrestled, won, average match ratings, main events and win percentage. It creates a top 10 of the best of all time. Undertaker leads the way and is still flanked by Steve Austin. The top 8 actually are still exactly the same and in the same order. The two changes come at the bottom where Chris Jericho and Hulk Hogan come in at the expense of The British Bulldog and Billy Gunn. If I were to do this list up to 20 then the rest of the order would be: Kane, The British Bulldog, Billy Gunn, Edge, Mick Foley, Sean Waltman, The Road Dogg, Christian, Macho Man Randy Savage and Bubba Ray Dudley. So exactly the same top 20 as on the last Stat Pack.

Bastions Top 10 Women

1. Chyna (5553)
2. Trish Stratus (4522)
3. Sable (3075)
4. Ivory (2370)
5. Torrie Wilson (1958)
6. Jazz (1607)
7. Lita (1450)
8. Victoria (1137)
9. Molly Holly (964)
10= Alundra Blayze (950)
10= Nicole Bass (950)

This list applies the same formula but just for the female superstars of the WWE. There aren’t too many changes but as you can see Trish Stratus hasn’t caught Chyna yet but does get ever closer. Sable and Ivory don’t move in 3rd and 4th but Torrie Wilson does get a little closer to them in 5th. Jazz hops above Lita into 6th and Victoria is a new entry in 8th. This drops Molly Holly, Alundra Blayze and Nicole Bass down a place. With every women from 2nd to 9th still on the active roster, it means there could be plenty of changes going forward.

Top 10 Title Reigns

1. Diesel – 1st WWF Title Reign
2. Shawn Michaels – 1st WWF Title Reign
3. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin – 5th WWF Title Reign
4. The British Bulldog & Owen Hart – 1st Tag Team Title Reign
5. Hulk Hogan – 1st WWF Title Reign

7. The Undertaker – 2nd WWF Title Reign
8. Kurt Angle – 1st WWF Title Reign
9. The Rock – 2nd Intercontinental Title Reign
10. The New Age Outlaws – 3rd Tag Team Title Reign

There aren’t any changes to this list since the last Stat Pack but I will tell you that Triple H’s current World Heavyweight Championship run is the closest reign to getting on here. It’s nice that the top 10 on this list are all different people and should Triple H get on this list then that would continue.

Most Matches Managed

1. Jimmy Hart (64)
2. Paul Bearer (56)
3. Mr Fuji (40)
4. Bobby Heenan (37)
5. Chyna (36)
6. Jim Cornette (32)
7. Terri Runnels/Marlena (25)
8. Slick (23)
9= “Million Dollar Man” Ted Dibiase (21)
9= Stephanie McMahon (21)

There are absolutely no changes to this list. There is a bit of a resurgence of managers at the moment with the likes of Paul Heyman, Nidia and Teddy Long but none of them have managed enough to get on this list yet. Paul Heyman is creeping ever nearer but is still 8 matches away from getting on this list.

Highest Managerial Success Rate (2+ matches)

1= Paul Ellering 100% (2 matches)
1= Rico 100% (2 matches)
3= Nidia 80% (5 matches)

6. Jose Lothario 77.7% (9 matches)
7. Jacqueline 75% (4 matches)

9= Curtis Hughes 66.6% (3 matches)
9= The Fabulous Moolah 66.6% (3 matches)
9= Mae Young 66.6% (3 matches)

Not too many changes to this list. The top 2 keep their place but now Nidia is joined in third by Ric Flair who has been managing the likes of Triple H and Batista, This drops everybody else down a place except for Paul Heyman who has been on a bit of a bad run as of late and has dropped off the list altogether.

Highest Managerial Loss Rate (2+ matches)

1. Hillbilly Jim 100% (6 matches)
2. Uncle Zeb 100% (3 matches)
3= Cowboy Bob Orton 100% (2 matches)
3= Kim Chee 100% (2 matches)
3= Oliver Humperdink 100% (2 matches)
3= The Blue Meanie 100% (2 matches)
7. Harvey Wippleman 84.6% (13 matches)
8. Luna 80% (10 matches)
9. General Adnan 80% (5 matches)
10= Diana Hart Smith 75% (4 matches)
10= Yamaguchia San 75% (4 matches)
10= Molly Holly 75% (4 matches)

This list stays exactly the same. Despite there being a few managers about at the moment, none of them are doing badly enough to get on this list.
