Stat Pack Vol 39

Welcome everybody to my 39th WWE Stat Pack! I have been watching every WWF PPV from the very beginning, back from Wrestlemania 1 and reviewing each and every show. Every 5 PPVs I have put together and updated a stat pack which records all the major stats, facts and figures from the big shows. Within this Stat Pack you’ll see all the PPVs ranked as well as which wrestlers have fought the most matches, who has the most wins and losses, all matches rated and who has the best average match rating as well as figures on the tag teams, managers and much more. This Stat Pack covers from the original Wrestlemania through to Extreme Rules 2006,  an awe-inspiring 195 PPVs.

Since the last stat pack there have been a few changes. Over on Raw John Cena has lost the WWE Championship to the man that cashed in his Money In The Bank contract at Extreme Rules, Rob Van Dam. A new brand is about to launch with ECW making a comeback as WWE’s third brand. Shelton Benjamin is still Intercontinental Champion and The Spirit Squad have beaten Kane and The Big Show for the tag team titles. Mickie James beat Trish Stratus as Wrestlemania to win the Women’s Championship. On Smackdowm Rey Mysterio won the World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania, Booker T lost the United States Championship to Chris Benoit who in turn lost the belt to John “Bradshaw” Layfield before he lost it to Bobby Lashley. MNM dropped the WWE Tag Team Championships to Paul London and Brian Kendrick whilst Gregory Helms is now the Cruiserweight Champion. So let’s get to the stats.

It was down in 15th but it has now risen up to be the 8th best year in WWE history but there is a long way to go in this year yet. One Night Stand 2006 is the highest new entry going in as the joint 12th best PPV of all time up to now, lower than the 2005 show but still very high up. The Smackdown branded No Way Out 2006 was next with a 61.25 rating taking putting it in 56th, Backlash 2006 entered at 63rd, Judgment Day 2006 was ranked low with a score of 57.18 putting it joint 104th whilst Wrestlemania 22 was actually the lowest ranking new entry with a 56.3 score putting it as 114th.

13= Torrie Wilson vs. Candice Michelle – Wrestlemania 22 (2/10)

There is only one addition to either of these lists and sadly it comes in the form of Torrie Wilson vs. Candice Michelle from Wrestlemania 22. It was a Playboy pillow fight and every bit as bad as you can imagine. Sadly it means Torrie Wilson is involved in 5 of the worst matches of all time despite improving in the ring.

10= Owen Hart & Yokozuna 75% (4 matches)
13. The Legion Of Doom 69% (16 matches)
14. The World’s Greatest Tag Team 66.6% (6 matches)

Because of the amount of teams on 100% records for winning 2 matches I like to make this list longer than the standard ten. On this stat pack it goes up from 13 teams to 14 with the addition of Big Show and Kane who successfully beat Chris Masters and Carlito at Wrestlemania 22 to cement themselves on this list. Everyone else stays the same.

8= Los Guerrero’s 80% (5 matches)
10. The APA 72.7% (11 matches)

There are no changes to this list. The tag team divisions on Raw and Smackdown are pretty poor these days to be honest so there’s barely any consistancy with tag teams.

7. Chris Benoit (7.27)
8. Kurt Angle (7.22)
9. Shane McMahon (7.19)
10. Stone Cold Steve Austin (7.16)

There is a newcomer to this list. Finlay enters the list in second place following good showings in the Money In The Bank ladder match at Wrestlemania 22 and then in singles action against Chris Benoit at Judgment Day. That shifts Matt Morgan, Chainsaw Charlie, K-Kwik, Mike Awesome, Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle down a place. Shane McMahon leapfrogs above Stone Cold Steve Austin and Chris Jericho is the man to fall off this list.

There are a couple of changes ot this list. Candice Michelle joins Jackie Gayda in joint 5th after a poor showing at Wrestlemania 22 against Torrie Wilson. Adrian Adonis, Debra and Maria all drop down a place and The Boogeyman is a new entry in joint 8th. Nidia, Velvet McIntyre and Zach Gowan all fall off the list.

7. Edge (25020)
8. Bret Hart (24162)
9. Kane (24128)
10. Chris Benoit (22813)

This list is made up of a formula of matches wrestled, won, average match ratings, main events and win percentage. It creates a top 10 of the best of all time. The same ten men feature on this list as the last stat pack but there are some changes to the order. The Undertaker and Triple H hold on to their top 2 spots but in third now is Kurt Angle who leapfrogs Stone Cold Steve Austin. The Rock and Shawn Michaels stay in 5th and 6th respectively but Edge jumps up from 9th to 7th. Bret Hart slips down a place to 8th and Kane falls to 9th. Chris Benoit keeps his spot in 10th. For this list I like to give you the rest of the top 20 which reads Chris Jericho, Hulk Hogan, Bradshaw, Owen Hart, The British Bulldog, Billy Gunn, Christian, Mick Foley, John Cena and Bubba Ray Dudley. John Cena is a new entry to the top 20, Eddie Guerrero drops out as a result. Bradshaw moves up from 15th to 13th.

7. Ivory (2464)
8. Torrie Wilson (2384)
9. Molly Holly (1861)
10. Mickie James (1016)

This list finally goes from a top 11 to a top 10. It follows the same formula as the previous list but this one is just for the ladies. Trish still sits atop and has extended her lead. She remains the 29th best of all time (men and women combined). Chyna, Sable, Victoria and Jazz continue to make up the top 5. Lita jumps up from 8th to 6th following her match at ECW One Night Stand 2006. Ivory and Torrie Wilson both drop a place. Molly Holly stays in 9th and Mickie James is a new entry in 10th, knocking both Alundra Blayze and Nicole Bass off the list altogether.

8. The British Bulldog & Owen Hart – 1st Tag Team Title Reign
9. Hulk Hogan – 1st WWF Title Reign
10. Trish Stratus – 6th Women’s Title Reign

There is a slight change to this list. The top 9 actually stay the same, with John Cena a recent addition in the top spot. Trish Stratus is the only new entry, she had a title reign lasting over a year that was good enough to get her into the top 10. Ivory’s 3rd Women’s title reign is the one to make way.
