Stat Pack Vol 56

Welcome everybody to my 56th WWE Stat Pack! I have been watching every WWF/WWE PPV from the very beginning, back from Wrestlemania 1 and reviewing each and every show. Every 5 or 10 PPVs I have put together and updated a stat pack which records all the major stats, facts and figures from the big shows. This stat pack covers everything from the first Wrestlemania through to Battleground 2016. You’ll find everything from PPV rankings to match stats, individual records, tag team statistics and even managerial records. It’s all in here so take a look and tweet me @BastionBlogger with what you think!

There are 5 new additions to this list since the last stat pack and I have bolded them. Two of the entries are extremely high. Payback 2016 goes in as the third greatest PPV of all time whilst Wrestlemania 32 is in at joint 4th. They were both excellent shows and it really feels like a new era in the WWE, an era more focused on high quality matches. Extreme Rules 2016 is in at joint 56th, Money In The Bank 2016 is in at joint 217th and the worst of the last 5 PPV’s Battleground 2016 is 254th.

We are 8 PPV’s into 2016 now and the year has been fantastic. The overall rating has dropped slightly since the last stat pack but 2016 still sits atop this list. Could it truly be the greatest year in WWE history for PPV matches?

Most PPV’s Wrestled On

1. Glenn Jacobs (Fake Diesel/Isaac Yankem/Kane) (167)
2. The Undertaker (164)
3. Triple H (160)

6. Chris Jericho (128)
7. Randy Orton (126)
8. Edge (119)
9. Shawn Michaels (117)
10. Christian (91)

The same ten names feature on this that have been on it for some time now. Nobody has managed to break onto the list. There is one change to the order and that is Chris Jericho leap-frogging Randy Orton, going from 7th place to 6th with Randy Orton going the other way.

Most PPV Matches

Like the last list, these ten names stay the same. Chris Jericho was joint with Randy Orton on the last stat pack but has now pulled away. Everyone else stays exactly the same.

6. Randy Orton (59)
7. Shawn Michaels (49)
8. Chris Jericho (48)
9. The Big Show (45)
10. The Rock (41)

This list features the same ten men as on the last stat pack and they are all in the same order. The likes of Undertaker, John Cena, Chris Jericho and The Rock have all added one win to their name over the past 5 PPV’s but it isn’t enough to move them up a place on this list.

5= John Cena (3)
5= Mankind (3)
5= Edge (3)
5= Randy Orton (3)
5= “Stone Cold” Steve Austin (3)

This list stays exactly the same. There’s been a couple of draws recently but none that have affected this list.

The same ten names feature on this list. The likes of Big show, Chris Jericho and John Cena have picked up losses as of late but the only change to this list is John cena going from 10th to joint 9th alongside Christian.

Highest PPV Loss Percentage

1. Jorge Arias (Sin Cara/Sin Cara Black/Hunico) 100% (9 matches)

This list stays as a top 9 with the same 9 wrestlers as before. Jorge Arias has now moved into joint top following his loss in the battle royal at Wrestlemania. Koko B.Ware drops down to second and everyone else stays the same.

Highest PPV Loss Percentage (10+ matches)

1. Jorge Arias (Sin Cara/Sin Cara Black/Hunico) 100% (12 matches)

9. R-Truth 84.4% (45 matches)
10. The Great Khali 84.3% (32 matches)

This list stays as a top 10. Jorge Arias goes top of the list much like he did in the previous list. Koko drops to second whilst Chris Masters, Jacqueline, Nunzio and Honky Tonk Man keep their places. Honky Tonk is now joined in 6th place by Heath Slater, Tensai drops a place to 8th. R-Truth joins the list in 9th, replacing Erick Rowan who drops off the list altogether and The Great Khali stays in 10th.

Most PPV Main Events

1. John Cena (89)
2. Triple H (80)
3. The Undertaker (69)

6. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin (40)
7. The Rock (37)
8. Chris Jericho (29)
9= CM Punk (28)
9= Kane (28)

This list stays exactly the same! With the emergence of stars such as Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns there are new guys in PPV main events and the older stars are starting to fade out. Saying that, Triple H has added one main event to his tally but remains in second place.

Highest Main Event Percentage (2+ matches)

1. Hulk Hogan 62.5% (40 matches)

10= Ludvid Borga 50% (2 matches)
10= Mr T 50% (2 matches)

This list goes down from a top 18 to a top 15. I’d prefer if it was a top 10 to be honest. Everyone who remains on this list is in the same position as before. It’s the likes of Tyler Breeze, AJ Styles and Sami Zayn that drop off. John Cena and Brock Lesnar have dropped down a bit in terms of percentage but they stay in the same position.

Highest Main Event Percentage (10+ matches)

1. Hulk Hogan 62.5% (40 matches)

10. Seth Rollins 44.4% (36 matches)

There is just one change to this list and that’s Seth Rollins who joins the list in 10th place. He replaces Sgt Slaughter who drops off. There’s a few odd percentage changes here but everybody above Rollins stays in the same position as before.

There is just one change to this list and it’s the addition of Big E who has now wrestled 29 PPV matches without main eventing, much like Charles Wright and Val Venis. D-lo Brown drops off this list as a result.

Most Opening Matches

1. Matt Hardy (26)
2= Christian (25)
2= Dolph Ziggler/Nicky (25)

7. John Morrison/Johnny Nitro (20)
8= Jeff Hardy (19)

More changes to this list as Dolph Ziggler goes up to joint second with Christian. Kofi Kingston also rises up from joint 6th to joint 5th. The Miz goes from joint 9th to joint 8th. Kofi, Dolph and Miz are three veterans of WWE now.

There have been some great matches over the past 5 PPV’s and it I think WWE is in a great era of quality matches at the moment. The fatal four way at Extreme Rules 2016 is the highest new entry to the list, it rates at 9 out of 10. AJ Styles had a couple of classics with Chris Jericho and John Cena that were good enough to go on the list. The other match to make it was the triple threat women’s title match from Wrestlemania 32. There were no matches bad enough to go on the worst matches list.

There is one small change to this list. The Usos lose their most recent PPV match which means they move up from 9th to 8th. Not a list you want to rank highly on! The APA move down a place as a result.

This list stays exactly the same. There haven’t been any particularly bad matches for quite a long time now so these 12 wrestlers stay on this list.

Bastions Top 10

1. John Cena (67965)
2. The Undertaker (67528)
3. Triple H (66454)
4. Randy Orton (46073)
5. Edge (43772)
6. Kane (41854)
7. Shawn Michaels (39504)
8. Chris Jericho (36682)
9. The Rock (32514)
10. Kurt Angle (30773)

This list is made up of a formula of matches wrestled, won, average match ratings, main events and win percentage. It creates a top 10 of the best of all time (based on pay per view matches). It’s the same ten men on this list as it has been on the last couple of stat packs and they are all in the same order. Not many matches from these ten men over the last 5 PPV’s.

For this list I like to give 11th to 20th. So in order they go: “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, The Big Show, CM Punk, Chris Benoit, Rey Mysterio, Bret Hart, Christian, Batista, Jeff Hardy & Matt Hardy. The top 20 stay in exactly the same order following 5 PPV’s. It’s been the same top 20 for some time now, who will be the person to break into it?

Two men I’m keeping an eye on for this list are Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. Following Battleground 2016 they are ranked 26th for Roman Reigns (up from 34th) and 30th for Seth Rollins (he’s up from 31st).

7. Natalya (5068)
8. Nikki Bella (4685)
9. Michelle McCool (4333)
10. Layla (4315)

This list follows the same formula as the previous list but this one is for the females. Trish Stratus is still top of the list and keeps her rank as the 48th of all time in terms of both male and female superstars at this point. There is only one small change to the order of this list and that’s Natalya rising above Nikki Bella. Natalya has been featured on PPV recently despite being unsuccessful against Charlotte. Charlotte is still in 3rd but she is now very close to Beth Phoenix.
