In this blog expect to see stats such as every PPV ranked, all wrestler stats such as most matches, wins, most tag team wins, highest managerial win percentage, best matches and much much more. Since the last Stat Pack, Bret Hart lost the WWF title to Sid who in turn lost it to The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 13. Undertaker is still the champion. Also, Intercontinental champion Rocky Maivia lost his belt to Owen Hart who is still champion but has yet to defend it on pay per view. Tag Team champions Owen Hart & British Bulldog lost their titles to Shawn Michaels and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. Let’s get to the stats.

Well the newest 5 PPVs reviewed takes 1997 to the very top. Although 1997 is still going, the shows that have been produced have been some of the very best of all time. Numbers one and two on the best PPVs of all time are new additions with Canadian Stampede going to the very top. Unbelievable that an In Your House show should go straight to the top but it was an unforgettable show. Wrestlemania 13 which featured Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin and Sid vs. The Undertaker goes in at number 2. King Of The Ring 1997 is the only other notable new entry and that slots in at joint 7th. The other two new events, In Your House’s Cold Day In Hell and Revenge Of The Taker go in at #18 and #19 respectively.

There are no changes to this list! The top ten stay exactly the same in exactly the same positions. Bret Hart has extended his lead because Michaels only wrestled on one pay per view in the last five. That means Bulldog has made ground on Shawn. The Undertaker was the only man in the top ten to have wrestled on each of the last 5 PPVs, all of which were WWF title matches. Owen Hart, like Bulldog, missed one show. Jake Roberts down to Marty Jannetty all stay the same as none of them have wrestled recently. Tito Santana has gone the longest without wrestling, his last match was in the 1993 Royal Rumble over 4 years ago but he stays in the top 10.

Bret Hart is considerably ahead of the competition in this one. Ted Dibiase is the only name that doesn’t feature on the last list and that is in part down to his multiple matches at Wrestlemania 4 in the World title tournament. Once again, Tito Santana is the man to not have wrestled for the longest.

Mr T and The JUmping Bomb Angels take their spot back at the top. The rest of the top 6 stay the same. Tama jumps up from 8th to 7th, joint with Furnas and Lafon. The Undertaker is the highest new entry, in at number 9 after he’s defeated the likes of Sycho Sid, Mankind, Steve Austin, Faarooq and Vader on the last 5 PPVs. Mo is a new entry in at number 10 without even wrestling whilst Rocky Maivia drops from 8th to 10th after a loss to Mankind. Steve Austin and The Legion Of Doom drop off the top 10.

This list is quite a fascinating one. Bret Hart sits at the top with 31 wins. The Undertaker retains his second spot with 27 wins, he’s been on a great run as of late. British Bulldog leapfrogs Hulk Hogan to take bronze. Owen Hart leapfrogs legend Randy Savage to take 6th spot. The bottom four all stay the same. It always blows my mind that it only takes 10 PPV wins to get on this list. The two big men Yokozuna and Earthquake continue to prop up this list.

For the first time ever and it’s taken 70 PPVs but finally somebody has caught up with Hulk Hogan for pay per view main events. Bret Hart is the man to do it and being that he’s still wrestling, Bret is bound to surpass The Hulkster. The Undertaker jumps from 5th to 3rd after a string of main events. There aren’t too many other changes to this list except British Bulldog and Sid both main eventing 1 PPV in the last 5 leaving Ultimate Warrior in 10th.

Some changes to the highest rated matches. Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and Randy Savage all feature in 4 matches each for the top rated matches. There is a new number one in the epic 10 man tag match at Canadian Stampede. It’s amazing how much the crowd helped this match, I have never seen anything like it. The match at Wrestlemania 13 between Hart and Austin enters the list in joint 3rd which now means that it takes an 8.25 score to get in the top 10. The lowest rated matches stay exactly the same.

Well this list is sort of taking shape. It looks a lot better than it has done previously. The likes of Tony Atlas have gone. Ric Flair keeps his spot at the top whilst Mankind falls from 2nd to 5th which means Hakushi and Aldo Montoya rise to 2nd and 3rd. Ken Shamrock is the highest new entry and mostly because of the awesome main event at Canadian Stampede he comes in at number 4. Steve Austin has had some damn good matches recently and he re-enters the list in at number 6. Kama, Kwang, Dean Douglas all drop one spot but stay on the list.
