Tonight there will be no way out for many of the WWE superstars which include some of the top stars to ever step foot in a WWE ring. The main event for tonight is a perfect example of that as Hulk Hogan returns to take on the returning Rock. Stephanie McMahon bought Hulk Hogan back to Smackdown a few weeks ago and one man that was not happy with that decision was Vince McMahon. Vince announced that Hogan will go one on one with The Rock at No Way Out and since the Rock has returned, he has had a change in attitude. He no longer cares for the people and he even went as far to spit in the face of Hulk Hogan. It’s a Wrestlemania 18 rematch and its tonight.

The World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line as Triple H defends his title in a rematch from Royal Rumble against Scott Steiner. Steiner beat Chris Jericho to earn himself a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship but Triple H is less worried than last time because he has a new crew. Ric Flair, Batista, Randy Orton and Triple H now make up Evolution, a group in the mould of the four horseman that are already a dominant force in the WWE. The WWE Championship won’t be defended tonight because we already know that the Wrestlemania 19 main event will be Kurt Angle vs. Brock Lesnar. Instead there’s a 6 man tag where Kurt will team up with Team Angle of Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin against Brock Lesnar, Chris Benoit and Edge. These 6 men have been going at it for weeks in various combinations and with this being the last PPV before Wrestlemania, momentum will be on the line in this one.

There are two other title matches tonight. Matt Hardy challenged Billy Kidman to a Cruiserweight Championship match after Kidman beat Hardy on Smackdown. Matt had to shed ten pounds in order to qualify for the Cruiserweight division and having pinned Kidman in tag team action on Smackdown last week, Matt could be the favourite. The other title match tonight will be for the World Tag Team titles. William Regal and Lance Storm beat The Dudley Boyz to win back the World Tag Team Championships and despite no build they will be defending their titles against the team of Rob Van Dam and Kane tonight.

Vince McMahon put Eric Bischoff on notice, telling him that he had 30 days to save his job. Bischoff says he plans on saving his job by bringing back Stone Cold Steve Austin. Despite going to Texas to hunt out Austin, Bischoff would have no success and Vince McMahon fired him. But he would get his job back minutes later as Jim Ross managed to persuade Austin to come back. McMahon then made the match for No Way Out, Eric Bischoff vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin. Will Austin turn up? The other match from Raw will be Chris Jericho vs. Jeff Hardy. This was supposed to be Chris Jericho vs. Test but Test didn’t show up for work last minute (genuinely) and so the match was changed. Also tonight The Undertaker goes up against the man that put him out of action, The Big Show. The Big Show has been sending The Undertaker gifts such as Brother Love, Chris Kanyon dressed up as Boy George and even a dog.

Before the show began Rey Mysterio beat Jamie Noble on Heat.

No video package to kick off No Way Out which is odd. There’s an animated sequence with a bloke locked up in a dungeon and then we’re right into it. Jonathan Coachman is the man to welcome us to No Way Out. Coach is filling in for Jim Ross who is out with a concussion and is joined at the commentary booth by Jerry Lawler. They are in Montreal for the first time since Survivor Series 1997 so expect Shawn Michaels, Earl Hebner and Vince McMahon to get a bad reaction.

Jeff Hardy vs. Chris Jericho

Jeff Hardy fills in for Test who is punished for not turning up to Raw last week. We’re told Shawn Michaels is banned from ringside, probably because he would get boo’d out of the building due to what happened in Montreal last time they were there in 1997. It’s a first one on one PPV meeting between Jericho and Jeff. Jericho has a 2-1 record at No Way Out whilst Hardy has a 0-2 record. There’s some chain wrestling in the early going but a slap from Jericho riles up Hardy. Jeff hits a flying head scissors but Jericho takes the advantage with a clothesline. Jericho hits an Irish whip but misses with a splash in the corner and lands on the outside. Jeff hits a moonsault to the outside taking Y2J down. Jeff then hits a springboard moonsault back in the ring for the first near fall of the night.

Jericho heads to the outside but Hardy hits him with a baseball dropkick. Chris throws Hardy into the ring steps before rolling him back into the ring. Coach is doing a good job on commentary so far but he’s no replacement for JR. Jericho hits a suplex and then a dropkick to Jeffs face. Jeffs facepaint is all over the mat. Jericho applies a chinlock to slow the pace. Hardy manages to get out of this but get floored straight away. Jericho then goes for a spear but Jeff sidesteps it and Jericho goes shoulder first into the ringpost. Hardy has the momentum now as he hits a flying forearm and a jawbreaker for a two count. Jericho hits a dropkick for a near fall and follows that up with a bulldog. Chris then goes for his lionsault but Hardy gets his knees up.

Jeff hits a DDT for a two count and then nails Jericho with whisper in the wind for another near fall. Hardy misses with an enzeguri allowing Jericho to grab his legs and lock on the Walls of Jericho! Hardy manages to get to the bottom rope so Jericho goes up top but like we’ve seen from Kurt Angle many times, Jeff flies up top with him and hiptosses him to the mat. Jeff then goes to the top himself and flies off with the swanton bomb! Jeff covers Jericho but the former Undisputed Champion gets his foot on the bottom rope. Hardy hits Jericho with a dropkick as he comes off the middle rope and then Hardy hits a neckbreaker. Jeff goes up top again and attempts the swanton bomb again but this time Jericho avoids it. Jericho hits the lionsault but Hardy kicks out of the pinfall attempt.

Jericho attempts a side suplex but Jeff nips down and rolls Jericho up for a two count. Jericho then heads to the top but Hardy bounces off the ropes to crotch him. Hardy goes up top with Jericho to hit him with a hurricanrana but Jericho powerbombs Hardy to the mat. Jericho then locks on the Walls of Jericho and Jeff taps out. It’s a big win for Chris Jericho tonight who looks on course to fight Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania. Jericho refuses to break the hold but out comes Shawn Michaels to make the save! Christian is in tow and attacks Michaels from behind but it doesn’t take long for Michaels to take out both Chris Jericho and Christian. It’s a mixed reaction for Michaels! A win for Jericho in the opening contest.

Kurt Angle is backstage with Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin. Angle takes a pop at the people of Canada but tells Team Angle to ignore those that chant that they suck. Angle says that he’ll be damned if they lose to a walking gorilla and two Canucks. Kurt has an idea to give them an early advantage.

A limo pulls up and out step Evolution. We then see a shot of Stone Cold Steve Austins truck in the background.

Lance Storm & William Regal (c) vs. Rob Van Dam & Kane – World Tag Team Championship Match

It’s a first PPV tag team outing for Kane and Rob Van Dam. They take on Lance Storm and William Regal who are now two time tag team champions. Kane has a 1-2 record at No Way Out, William Regal and Rob Van Dam both have a 1-0 record and Lance Storm has a 0-1 record. RVD and Storm start the match and Van Dam knocks Storm down early with a shoulder barge. There’s some beautiful chain wrestling then with Van Dam throwing Storm around until he tags out to William Regal. Van Dam hits a spinning heel kick on Regal and then a spilt legged moonsault for a two count. Van Dam beat Regal for the Intercontinental Championship at Wrestlemania last year. Van Dam tags out to Kane who hits a bodyslam on Regal. That slam seems to have knocked Regal out! He doesn’t get back up so Kane pins him. Storm breaks up the cover and then tags himself in.

Kane picks Storm up high above his head and then drops him down to the canvas. Kane hits a clothesline on Storm for a near fall and then tags in Rob Van Dam. Kane slams Storm and Van Dam goes for rolling thunder but Regal pulls Storm out of the ring. Van Dam dives out at Storm and then rolls him back in. Storm tags in Regal and Van Dam heads for the top but Storm pushes him to the outside. Van Dam hits the barricade and Storm rolls him back into the ring. Regal tags in Storm who lays into RVD with big right hands. Both of these men were involved in the invasion angle back in 2001. Storm hits a dropkick for a near fall. Lance tags in Regal who covers Van Dam 3 times for 3 near falls. Regal tags in Storm unbeknown to RVD and he drops Van Dam with a DDT for a two count.

Storm hits a legdrop, gets a near fall and then applies a sleeper. Storm tags in Regal who applies a front face lock. Van Dam gets out of it and tags in Kane. Kane comes in off the top with a big clothesline. Kane lays into both tag team champions with clotheslines, boots and a sidewalk slam. Kane gets a near fall on Regal when Storm breaks it up. Storm tries to rip off Kanes mask and as a result Kane accidentally chokeslams Rob Van Dam who tagged himself in. Regal pins Van Dam and gets the three! Lance Storm and William Regal retain their tag team titles tonight! A decent enough match between these two teams.

Josh Mathews is backstage with Matt Hardy and Shannon Moore. Matt says Mattitude is a frame of mind. He then sees his brother Jeff backstage and tells him that if he was a Matittude follower then he probably wouldn’t lose all his matches. Jeff slaps his brother and walks off.

Billy Kidman (c) vs. Matt Hardy – Cruiserweight Championship Match

It’s a first PPV meeting between these two men. Matt has a 0-2 record at No Way Out events so he’ll be looking to get his first win tonight. Hardy hits an arm drag and celebrates with some jumping jacks to start the match. Matt then hits a powerslam and celebrates again. Kidman hits a couple of arm drags of his own and then a hurricanrana. Hardy hiptosses Kidman onto the apron and then rams him into the steel post. Hardy lays into Kidman on the outside before pinning him in the ring for a 1 count. Matt hits a reverse elbow and a legdrop for another near fall. It’s a No Way Out debut for Billy Kidman. Hardy hits Billy with a neckbreaker for another two count and then uses Kidmans own arms to apply a chinlock.

Hardy goes for the side effect but Kidman rolls him up for a two count. Matt then hits a neckbreaker for a near fall. Hardy goes to the front facelock. Kidman gets out of it and locks on a sleeper himself but Matt takes him down with a side effect for a near fall. Kidman hits an enzeguri which sounds like it hurt. Kidman hits a couple of clotheslines and a low down for a near fall. Matt hits a clothesline from nowhere and then a legdrop off the middle rope for a two count. Matt motions for the twist of fate but Kidman pushes him away and then dropkicks the challenger out of the ring. Kidman flies to the outside with a plancha, knocking Hardy down and then rolls Matt back into the ring. Shannon Moore gets up on the apron but Hardy pushes Kidman into him. Hardy then hits a side effect on Kidman but only for a two count.

Kidman hits a bulldog on Hardy and then goes to the top for the shooting star press but Hardy gets out of the way! Matt then hits the twist of fate and pins Kidman but Kidman kicks out! Hardy puts Kidman up top for a superplex but Kidman pushes Hardy off. Shannon Moore grabs Kidmans leg as he looks set to hit the shooting star press which distracts him long enough for Matt to get up and go up top and hit Kidman with a twist of fate off the top rope! Hardy hooks the leg and gets the three! Matt Hardy wins the Cruiserweight title tonight!

Backstage Edge is lying down knocked out. Chris Benoit and Brock Lesnar are standing over him but Edge isn’t moving!

The Undertaker vs. The Big Show

This is The Undertakers 100th pay per view match. It’s the first PPV match between Undertaker and The Big Show which is quite surprising. These two men were tag team champions together back in 1999. Going into this one, Big Show has a 2-0 record at No Way Out events having previously beaten The Rock and Raven. Undertaker has a 0-2 record at this event. This pay per view marks four years since The Big Show made his debut. He heads for the outside and Undertaker goes out with him, hitting him with big right hands. Undertaker, wearing a beanie, gets caught by Big Show who rams him into the ringpost and then back into the ring. So far this show features nobody that won at Royal Rumble last month. Undertaker hits a leg drop on Big Show on the apron.

The Undertaker grabs a steel chair but Big Show punches it into Undertakers own face. Big Show misses with a splash in the corner and Undertaker attempts a powerslam but he can’t get Big Show up and the big man lands on Undertaker for a two count. Big show hits a suplex on Undertaker for a near fall. Big Show drops a number of elbows, gets a near fall and then locks on a bear hug. Undertaker gets out of it with some big right hands but Big Show hits him with a sidewalk slam for a near fall. Big Show hits some big headbutts and it looks like at least one of them are busted open. Undertaker fires back with some big right hands and then a couple of splashes in the corner. Undertaker then goes for a chokeslam but he can’t get Big Show up.

Undertaker hits a big clothesline for a near fall before going up top and hitting his old school axe handle off the top rope. Undertaker goes for the chokeslam again but Big Show slaps his hand away, hitting the referee as he does. Undertaker hits Big Show with a low blow and then a DDT for a near fall. Undertaker attempts a last ride but Big Show shoves him away before taking him down with a spinebuster for a near fall. Show hits Undertaker with snake eyes and then takes him down with a clothesline for a two count. Big Show tries for a powerslam but Undertaker locks on a dragon sleeper! Big Show goes down but Paul Heyman gets up on the apron and distracts the referee. Undertaker breaks the hold to go after Heyman but the A-Train runs out. Undertaker disposes of A-Train and then dives to the outside taking out (but practically missing) both Heyman and A-Train.

Undertaker motions for the Tombstone but as he tries to get Big Show up to his feet, Big Show is playing possum and he gets up and hits Undertaker with a chokeslam! Big Show goes to pin Undertaker but Undertaker locks on a triangle choke! Big Show passes out which means it’s a win for Undertaker! After the bell Undertaker grabs a steel chair from outside the ring. Before he can use it on Big Show, A-Train gets in the ring and hits Undertaker with the derailer!

Backstage we see Edge being put on a stretcher and wheeled to an ambulance. Stephanie tells Brock and Benoit their match is up next and they have made their decision. Whatever that means.

Eric Bischoff and Sean Morley are backstage wondering what stipulation to make Erics match with Steve Austin tonight. Vince McMahon then shows up and says that if anyone gets involved in their match tonight then he will fire them on the spot.

Kurt Angle, Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas vs. Brock Lesnar & Chris Benoit – 3 vs. 2 handicap match

With Edge taken out backstage, this match is now a 3 on 2 handicap match. Lesnar and Benoit didn’t want another partner so go into this one a man down. Kurt goes into this match with a 2-1 record at No Way Out, Benoit goes in with a 0-2 record. The other three men make their No Way Out debuts tonight. Chris Benoit and Shelton Benjamin kick off the match and they grapple into the corner. This is a first PPV match for Haas and Benjamin that isn’t a Royal Rumble match so they look for their first PPV victory tonight. Benoit takes Shelton down with a knee to the gut and then a hard Irish whip. Charlie Haas tags himself in and rams Benoits face into the top turnbuckle.

Benoit hits a back body drop to get back into the match and then tags in Brock Lesnar. Lesnar hits a suplex and some clubbing blows to the back of Charlie before throwing him across the ring. Kurt refuses to tag in so Brock hits a press slam on both Haas and Benjamin. Kurt cheap shots Lesnar allowing Benjamin to then kick Brock in the face. Charlie Haas tags in Kurt Angle who applies a chinlock to Lesnar. Brock tries to break the hold by ramming Angle into the corner but Kurt doesn’t break the hold. Lesnar and Angle are the first two men to fight on this pay per view that actually won at the Royal Rumble last month. This is Kurts 11th PPV in a row, more than anyone else for consecutive pay per views at the moment but he’s a way off the current record that he holds of 35 consecutive pay per views.

Lesnar breaks the chinlock and tags in Benoit. Angle tags in Benjamin but Benoit hits everyone with German suplexes. Benoit heads to the top but Angle brings him down to the canvas with a belly to belly suplex. Lesnar gets up on the apron and locks a sleeper on Angle but Benjamin kicks him to the floor. Benjamin tags in Haas who hits a belly to belly on Benoit. Haas tags in Angle who stomps away at Benoit. Angle then applies a front facelock to Benoit. Benoit gets out of it and rolls Angle up for  couple of near falls. Kurt then hits a German suplex on Benoit for a two count. Angle tags in Haas who hits a slam on Benoit and then tags in Benjamin. They hit Benoit with a double team move for a two count. Benjamin stops Benoit from tagging in Brock but Benoit mule kicks Shelton and tags in Lesnar! Lesnar hits everyone with belly to belly suplexes and clotheslines.

Brock goes for an F5 on Angle but Benjamin saves Angle again. Benoit tags himself in and disposes of Charlie Haas but Angle locks on the ankle lock! Benoit reverses it into a crippler crossface and the two men keep reversing each others finishers. Brock then comes in and hits Angle with an F5 and Benoit locks the Crippler Crossface on Charlie Haas! Haas taps out and this one is over! Brock Lesnar and Chris Benoit win the match despite the numbers!

Triple H (c) vs. Scott Steiner – World Heavyweight Championship Match

This is a re-match from the Royal Rumble where Steiner beat Triple H by disqualification. Triple H has a 2-2 win/loss record at No Way Out pay per views. He’s the only man, along with The Rock who will wrestle later, to have wrestled on all 5 No Way Out pay per views. Triple H is the only superstar to have defended his title at both Royal Rumble and No Way Out. Ric Flair is the only man to accompany Triple H to the ring but don’t be surprised to see Batista and Orton at some point. Triple H has a heavily taped up leg which Steiner targets in the early going. The crowd are right behind Triple H in this one. Steiner lays into Triple H with big right hands and a clothesline. Steiner continues to target the left leg of Triple H and the crowd boo him the whole time. Steiner locks on a figure four as a “Steiner sucks” chant breaks out. Flair doesn’t look happy on the outside of the ring. Flair is actually the one to break the hold and Scott goes after him.

Triple H takes the advantage and throws Steiner into the ring steps before rolling him back into the ring and taking him down with a neckbreaker. Helmsley hits some big right hands as a “boring” chant breaks out. This is the first time I’ve ever heard this chant. Triple H hits another neckbreaker and then rams away at Steiner in the corner. Steiner starts a comeback with a belly to belly suplex. Triple H boots Steiner and then pins him with his feet on the ropes. The champ isn’t happy and pushes Hebner to try and get disqualified but Hebner won’t call for the bell, instead pushing Triple H back! This allows Steiner to get up and hit a back body drop and then some chops in the corner. There’s a bit of a botch as the two men aren’t sure who is supposed to throw who in the corner so Steiner thinks fast and hits a belly to belly suplex for a near fall.

The two men battle to the outside again where Steiner slams Triple H into the ringpost. Back in the ring and Steiner hits a belly to belly suplex for another near fall. Flair screams from the outside which makes the match more entertaining. Steiner then pops Triple H up top and hits a suplex from up there. Steiner looks like he’s got the three but Ric Flair pulls Steiners foot to break up the cover. Steiner then locks the Steiner Recliner on Triple H but Flair calls out Orton and Batista who cause the distraction. Steiner breaks the hold and goes after the two young members of Evolution. Back in the ring and Steiner clotheslines Triple H out of there before pulling Orton into the ring and then throwing him back out into Batista.

The referee ejects Flair, Orton and Batista from ringside but that allows Triple H to grab his World Heavyweight Championship and smash Steiner with it. Triple H pins the challenger but Scott gets his shoulder up! Triple H then hits Steiner with the Pedigree and that’s enough for the three! Triple H beats Scott Steiner tonight to retain his World Heavyweight title. Poor match.

Eric Bischoff is walking backstage and walks past members of the Raw roster who laugh at him. Not sure what Test has to laugh about. There’s a video package then for Eric Bischoff and the returning Stone Cold Steve Austin.

“Stone Cold” Steve Austin vs. Eric Bischoff

Stone Cold returns to the WWE in his first PPV match since Judgment Day 2002. Bischoff makes his PPV in-ring debut. Austin has a 1-2 record at No Way Out. Jim Ross is out first to let everyone know what Bischoff is getting his ass kicked. JR joins King and Coach on commentary. Bischoff comes out with boxing gloves on. Austin comes out and absolutely blows the roof of the place. Bischoff tries to get out of the match but Austin spears him to the ground and then lays into his former boss with right hands and stomps. Bischoff hits some martial arts kicks but Austin just grins. Bischoff then tries to escape but Austin catches him, lays in some chops, throws a drink in his face and then throws him into the barricade! The two then get back into the ring and Austin hits Bischoff with a Stone Cold Stunner. Stone Cold pins Bischoff but pulls his shoulder off the mat to carry on the pain!

Austins hits Bischoff with another Stunner! He pins Eric again but again Austin pulls Bischoffs shoulder up. Austin pulls Bischoff up again, gives him the double salute and then a third Stone Cold Stunner! He pins Bischoff and this time keeps him down for the three! Austin, unsurprisingly, wins the match on his return to the WWE. After the bell Austin gives Bischoff a fourth stunner before leaving the Raw General Manager laying in the ring.

There’s a VT next for Hogan and The Rock II.

Hulk Hogan vs. The Rock

This is the big re-match from last years Wrestlemania where The Rock beat Hulk Hogan. The Rock becomes the second man to have fought on all five No Way Out pay per views, he has a 2-2 record going into this one. Hogan returned to the WWE at this pay per view last year. The Rock has a new entrance, a much slower theme with a big build to it. The Rock can’t believe the reaction that Hogan gets. Hulk makes the mistake of turning his back on The Rock who dives in the ring but Hogan turns around and once again The Rock is on the back foot. I have no idea who the referee is for this one, I don’t recognise him. Hogan and Rock battle into the ring where The Rock lays into Hogan with right hands. We’re told that the referee is Sylvain Grenier. Hogan sends The Rock to the outside but The Rock gillotines Hogan on the top rope.

The Rock then his Hogan with Rock Bottom but Hulk kicks out! The Rock puts Hogans bandana on and then grabs Hulks belt and whips him with it. He then grabs a bottle of water and takes a swig but Hogan is up and knocks The Rock down with a clothesline. Hogan then whips The Rock with his belt. The Rock then ducks a clothesline and takes Hogan down with a DDT. This match has been all Rock so far. He locks on the sharpshooter which the fans boo.Hogan powers out of the hold, sending The Rock all the way out of the ring. Outside the ring and The Rock takes Hogan down with a clothesline. Rocky swings a chair at Hogan who ducks it. Hulk then grabs the chair himself and he nails The Rock with it! Hulk then takes the chair in the ring but the referee grabs the chair off him which allows The Rock to hit Hogan with a low blow.

The Rock hits a spinebuster and then the people’s elbow! Not just one but two people’s elbows! Hogan kicks out of the pinfall attempt with some power and then Hulks up! Hogan hits some big right hands, a big boot and then the legdrop! Hogan hooks the leg but the lights go out! The referee counted to two so the match continues I guess. The lights come back on and the referee is laid out with a chair on top of him. Vince McMahon then walks out to a chorus of “you screwed Bret”. The referee then slides The Rock the chair and Rocky wallops Hogan with it! McMahon looks on grinning as The Rock hits Hogan with Rock Bottom! The referee bursts into life and counts as The Rock pins Hogan! Rocky wins the match thanks to Vince McMahon and a corrupt referee. Not the best match in the world and not a patch on their Wrestlemania contest. After the match Vince McMahon celebrates over Hogans body.

And that was No Way Out 2003. It was a fairly decent pay per view, we’re into Wrestlemania season and this show featuring names like Hulk Hogan, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Triple H, The Undertaker, Kurt Angle, Chris Jericho, Brock Lesnar, Scott Steiner, Chris Benoit, there were some big big names. The show kicked off with two very good workers. Chris Jericho won the match which seemed the right decision as Jericho is currently in a big storyline with Shawn Michaels that looks like it’s going to run all the way to Wrestlemania. Jeff Hardy filled in for Test and usually the person that fills in wins the match. I’m not sure of Jeffs place on the Wrestlemania card as of yet, maybe he’ll face his brother for the Cruiserweight title or maybe he’ll turn heel and battle someone like Test.

William Regal and Lance Storm retained their World Tag Team Championships against Kane and RVD. It’s not to see the champions successfully defend their titles for once. I wouldn’t be too surprised by a rematch between these two teams at Wrestlemania but then an RVD/Kane match looks mor likely. The tag team division could do with a bit of an injection and if you ask me then it’s about time 3 Minute Warning had the gold. Matt Hardy won the Cruiserweight title which makes that championship so much more prestigious. No offence to Kidman but he is a little bland. Hardy could feud with Rey Mysterio or his brother Jeff into Wrestlemania or even a cross brand feud with The Hurricane. The Undertaker beat The Big Show despite interference from A-Train. It wasn’t a great match but it’s everything you’d expect from the two big men. Does Undertaker wrestle A-Train at Wrestlemania? Probably. It’s a big push for the big hairy man.

It was a pay per view of two halves for me. The second half featured all the big names but the quality was not as good as the first half. Well, besides the 6 man tag team match which was a good match. I wonder if Edge is legit injured? It doesn’t make a lot of sense to keep him out of the 6 man tag unless he is injured. Lesnar had to get the win as number one contender to the WWE title. This 6 man was a good match. What Haas and Benjamin lack in personality they make up for in technical skills. 5 very very good workers in this one. Triple H then beat Scott Steiner in a terrible match. Being that it was a (relatively) clean win, I’m guessing this feud is over. Steiner is clearly carrying injuries and it is affecting the quality of his matches. The crowd just can not get behind him. Where Triple H goes at Wrestlemania, I have no idea. Triple H vs. Austin? We’ve seen it before. We won’t have to wait too long to find out.

Speaking of Austin, he beat Eric Bischoff in the squash match we were all hoping for. Austin is back for Wrestlemania and he should get a decent feud. Bischoff can go back to general managing. He did a good job selling for Austin in this one, it was fun and it served its purpose. Then in the main event The Rock beat Hulk Hogan for a second time. This match was not a patch on their Wrestlemania match. It lacked the atmosphere of the previous match and the quality. It looks like Vince McMahon and Hulk Hogans feud will run until Wrestlemania. It’ll also be interesting to see who this referee is, Sylvain Grenier. Overall a decent pay per view with nothing exceptional. Above average.
