Yes! Yes! Yes! Daniel Bryan’s catchphrase is taking over the WWE Universe and he features in the main event tonight as he gets another shot at the WWE Championship held by CM Punk. However, unlike last month’s Over The Limit, this won’t be a singles match, it will be a triple threat with Kane. Bryan and Punk have both used Kane in their rivalry and now he is involved in the heart of the matter. The wildcard in this match will be AJ Lee though. Daniel Bryan’s ex girlfriend has not only shown a lot of interest in CM Punk but last week on Raw she actually made out with Kane! She’s a crazy chick and is bound to play a big part in the match tonight.

The World Heavyweight Championship will also be on the line tonight. Originally Alberto Del Rio defeated Kane and Randy Orton in a triple threat match to earn a shot at the title but Del Rio would later suffer a concussion at the hands of The Great Khali. A fatal four way match would decide a new number one contender and Dolph Ziggler won, defeating Christian, Jack Swagger and The Great Khali. Another big match for this show pits John Cena against The Big Show in a steel cage match. Vince McMahon came close to firing John Laurinaitis as General Manager on Raw last week but was knocked out before he could. Big Show cost John Cena his match against John Laurinaitis at Over The Limit last month, now these two meet in a cage match and Vince McMahon will be at ringside ready to fire Laurinaitis.

The Intercontinental Championship will be on the line as Cody Rhodes uses his rematch to face champion Christian. Rhodes has stated that Christian is middle aged and over the hill and has vowed to take back the title at No Way Out. also tonight Beth Phoenix gets another shot at the WWE Divas Championship held by Layla in a match that has had very little build. There are only those five matches announced for the show but I expect more to be added. On the pre show Brodus Clay will go one on one with David Otunga. An interesting point at the moment is that every single champion in WWE is a babyface.

On the pre-show Brodus Clay defeated David Otunga by count out.

The show kicks off with a video package dedicated to the recent rivalry between John Cena and The Big Show.

Michael Cole welcomes us to No Way Out, he hypes up the match between John Cena and The Big Show. Cole is joined by Jerry “The King” Lawler and and Booker T on commentary.

Sheamus vs. Dolph Ziggler – World Heavyweight Championship match

Starting off with a big title match. This is a first time PPV singles match between these two men. Dolph is of course joined by Vickie Guerrero. The last No Way Event was in 2009 so this match marks a No Way Out debut for both of these men. Sheamus gets a few boo’s but Dolph is starting to get popular. Vickie gives Dolph a good luck kiss as the bell rings and it is all too similar to Wrestlemania. Sheamus then goes for a brogue kick but Ziggler avoids it. Sheamus hits an elbow and a headlock takedown in the early going before hitting a shoulder charge and another headlock takedown. Dolph is the first man to have wrestled on every PPV so far in 2012. He hits a dropkick but Sheamus hits another shoulder charge. Dolph applies a sleeper but Sheamus ends up pushing him out of the ring. Sheamus smashes Ziggler off the ring apron and then rolls him back into the ring before hitting a big shoulder charge over the top rope.

Dolph hits some right hands and kicks to take the advantage but goes to the top for a cross body only for Sheamus to catch him. Dolph slips down the back but Sheamus hits him with an elbow for a two count. Dolph manages to pull Sheamus into the ringpost before rolling him into the ring and hitting a big DDT for a two count. Dolph chokes Sheamus on the middle rope and then hits a knee for a one count. Dolph applies a chinlock, headstanding as he does. Sheamus fights out of it and scoops Dolph up onto his shoulder but Ziggler counters with a DDT for a near fall. The two men slug it out and Dolph wins the exchange with a dropkick before applying a chinlock again. Dolph manages to roll Sheamus up but hangs on to the ropes and the referee catches him. Sheamus rolls Dolph up for a two count and Dolph then hits a neckbreaker for a near fall of his own.

Sheamus fights back with some clubbing clotheslines but Dolph avoids a running knee and locks a sleeper on again. Sheamus forces Dolph on to the apron and the challenger climbs up to the top but Sheamus catches him. Ziggler elbows his way out of white noise and hits a fame-asser for a near fall. Sheamus heads to the top but Dolph goes up with him and hits a facebuster for a near fall. Sheamus hits a backbreaker and then ten big clubbing blows to the chest. Dolph looks for a sleeper but Sheamus counters with white noise and then motions for a brogue kick! Sheamus hits the brogue kick and gets the three! Sheamus retains the World Heavyweight Championship in a good match to kick off the show.

Vince McMahon is backstage and John Laurinaitis catches him up and tells him that he shouldn’t be at ringside today if he has a concussion. McMahon ignores him. Josh Mathews then turns up to try and get a word with Laurinaitis tells josh that he’s not qualified to ask him a question.

Santino vs. Ricardo Rodriguez – Tuxedo Match

Well I had no idea that this match was happening. It’s a first time singles match between these two men. It’s a No Way Out debut for both men. So the winner of this match is the man that strips the other of his tuxedo. Both men attempt to get cheers from the crowd and Santino wins that contest. Rodriguez rips the pocket of Santino’s suit and Santino returns the favour. Santino then rips off the sleeve and hits an inverted atomic drop. Santino hits an atomic drop and then rips off Ricardo’s jacket. Santino uses the jacket like a rag to a bull and Ricardo acts like a bull until he falls out of the ring. Santino hits a drop toe hold and then pulls off Rodriguez’s shoes. Santino smashes Ricardo’s head off all four turnbuckles and then pulls off his shirt.

Santino hits a hiptoss and then pulls out the cobra! Ricardo rakes the eyes and then pulls off the cobra before pulling off Santino’s shoes, socks and pants! Santino has a cobra on his right foot which he uses to kick Ricardo in the gut and then pulls off Ricardo’s pants to win the match. Rodriguez has Alberto Del Rio underwear. This was awful.

Matt Striker is backstage with CM Punk who asks about the relationship between Punk and AJ. Punk says there is no relationship. AJ then shows up to wish Punk luck and gives him a kiss on the cheek. Punk says that luck is for losers.

Christian (c) vs. Cody Rhodes – Intercontinental Championship match

This is a rematch from Over The Limit last month where Christian won the Intercontinental Championship. Christian is 1-2 at No Way Out, Cody Rhodes makes his debut at the event tonight. Cody is the first man to hit a knockdown. Cody hits some kicks but it’s Christian that hits a knockdown of his own. Cody Rhodes is another man that has wrestled on every PPV so far in 2012. The two men exchange slaps and Christian then drops Rhodes on the apron before hitting a big baseball slide. Cody then repays the favour, dropping Christian on the apron before rolling him back onto the apron and dropping him on the top rope. Cody gets a near fall and then starts to work the left arm of Christian. Christian looks to crotch Cody on the ringpost but Rhodes counters it, pulling christian into the ringpost. Rhodes hits a knee and then a face-first suplex for a two count.

Cody hits more right hands and kicks and then a snapmare before going back to work on the left arm and shoulder of the Intercontinental Champion. Cody hits some right hands and then pops Christian on the top rope before pushing him out to the floor below. Cody goes out but Christian smashes him off the ring steps before hitting a tornado DDT on the outside. Both men make it back in the ring and Christian hits a running forearm and a missile dropkick for a two count. Christian hits a drop toe hold and then looks for a big right hand but Cody gets out of the way. Christian drops Cody on the top rope and then hits a cross body but Rhodes rolls through for a two count. Christian looks for a springboard sunset flip but Rhodes counters, dropping Christian on the top rope and then goes up to the middle rope but Christian goes up with him and hits a hurricanrana for a two count.

The two men exchange right hands and Christian attempts a killswitch but Cody counters and then hits some Hardcore Holly offence with the kick to the sternum and the Alabama slam for a near fall. Cody then looks for a killswitch of his own but Christian counters with an inverted DDT. Christian then motions for a spear but Cody gets out of the way. Christian looks for a springboard sunset flip but Cody counters for a near fall. Christian then hits a killswitch but Cody kicks out at 2! An unexpected near fall there, I thought it was over. Christian looks for a frog splash but Cody gets his knees up. Christian ducks a disaster kick and attempts a killswitch but Cody counters and looks for a disaster kick which Christian ducks. Christian then hits a spear and gets the three! Christian wins the match and retains the Intercontinental Championship! good match between these two.

Tyson Kidd & Justin Gabriel vs. The Usos (Jimmy & Jey) vs. Primo & Epico vs. The Prime Time Players (Darren Young & Titus O’Neil) – Fatal four way tag team match to determine number one contenders to the WWE Tag Team Championships

Primo and Epico are joined by Rosa Mendes and Abraham Washington. Apparently their automatic rematch clause had expired. Four tag teams in this, three of which I would class as proper tag teams. Tyson and Gabriel have teamed before and teamed in the Wrestlemania 28 kick-off. Titus starts the match against Jey Uso and slams him into the canvas. Titus tags in Darren Young and tries to suplex him on Jey Uso but Jey moves. Jey hits some chops and tags in Jimmy Uso who hits a big chop for a one count. Jey tags Jimmy back in and hits hits some chops. Epico tags himself in but Jimmy drops him with an elbow. Jimmy tags in Jey and The Usos hit elbow drops. Jey hits a sit-out powerbomb and Justin Gabriel tags himself in. Gabriel takes down Jey Uso with a headlock but Jey counters it with one of his own. Jimmy Uso tags himself in and hits a big Samoan drop. Jimmy then clotheslines Primo and Epico off the apron. Titus O’Neil tags himself in and pins Justin Gabriel for a near fall.

Titus hits a pump handle slam on Gabriel and tags in Darren Young, this time successfully suplexing Young onto Gabriel. Darren Young and Justin Gabriel were original members of The Nexus. Young drops Gabriel on the top rope and pins him for a two count. Darren Young then applies a chinlock but Gabriel fights out of it. Gabriel hits a heel kick and Epico tags himself in. Epico lays the boots in to Justin Gabriel and then tags in Primo. Most of these men are looking for their first PPV victory tonight. Primo tags in Epico who hits a dropkick and then applies a chinlock. Only Tyson Kidd and Justin Gabriel have won PPV matches before. Epico hits three big side slams on Gabriel and pins him for a two count. Epico tags in Primo who hits some kicks and a legdrop for a one count. No sign of Tyson Kidd in this match yet. Primo powerslam Gabriel and then looks for a springboard senton but Gabriel rolls out of the way.

Gabriel tags in Tyson Kidd who comes in with a springboard dropkick. Tyson hits another dropkick for a two count and then a big legdrop. Kidd heads to the top and hits a blockbuster for a near fall. Primo made the save and then cheap shots The Usos but Justin Gabriel gets rid of him. Tyson looks for a springboard elbow drop but Primo gets his knees up and hits a backstabber for a near fall. Titus O’Neil saved the match there but The Usos clear the ring of him before diving out at Titus and Gabriel. Primo pins Tyson for a two count. Darren young tags himself in on Tyson Kidd but Kidd kicks Young off the apron. Tyson then hurricanrana’s Primo off the top rope into everyone else on the outside! All 8 men are down. Darren Young is the first man back into the ring and Abraham Washington then rolls Primo back into the ring. Young hits a big gutbuster and pins Primo for the three! Epico tried to save his partner there but Abraham Washington pulled Epico out of the ring!

After the match Abraham Washington celebrates with The Prime Time Players! Primo and Epico shout at Washington after the match, laying him out with a right hand which causes Darren Young and Titus O’Neil to lay out Primo and Epico! It’s a big win for Titus O’Neil and Darren Young tonight though! This match was fun.

Triple H is out next and says that he’s had to deal with a lot of crap recently, mostly lawyers and legal teams. Triple H would rather fight. And he knows that Brock would rather fight. Triple H wants to fight Brock and challenges him to a match at Summerslam.

Daniel Bryan is backstage warming up when AJ shows up. AJ says there’s a part of her that hasn’t got over Bryan. She wishes Daniel good luck and gives him a kiss on the cheek. He seemed pretty happy about that.

Layla (c) vs. Beth Phoenix – WWE Divas Championship match

This is a rematch from Over The Limit last month where Layla beat Beth to retain the Divas championship. Layla is 0-1 at No Way Out events, this is Beth’s debut on the No Way Out main show. The two girls jockey for position in the early going. Beth takes Layla down with a kick and then tells the DivaS champion that she can’t lace her boots. Layla kicks Beth in the middle section and then hits a low dropkick before putting Beths headdress on and mocking her. Beth chases Layla around the ring and then back into it where Layla takes Phoenix down. Layla hits a low dropkick for a two count and then spanks her and smashes Phoenix off the top turnbuckle. Layla chokes Beth with her boot but Phoenix knocks Layla off the apron. Beth launches Layla into the barricade and then rolls her into the ring and pins the Divas Champion for a two count.

Beth applies a seated surfboard but Layla gets out of it and hits some kicks. Beth shoves Layla to the mat and then looks for a running boot but Layla ducks and rolls Beth up for a two count. Beth hits a backbreaker but Layla fires back with some kicks. Beth looks to setup for the glam slam but Layla counters for a two count. Layla hits some more kicks and then a springboard cross body for a two count. Phoenix hits a big powerslam for a two count. Beth lifts Layla above her head but Layla counters with a DDT for a near fall. They did that spot in their last match. Beth rams Layla into the corner but Layla ducks a clothesline and hits a neckbreaker for the three! Layla retains her Divas championship tonight with another huge win over Beth Phoenix!

AJ is backstage looking for Kane and finds him in some dark corridor somewhere. AJ wishes Kane luck and gives him a kiss on the cheek. He then makes out with her.

Sin Cara vs. Hunico

This is technically a second PPV match between these two men. Sin Cara defeated Hunico, who was also dressed up as Sin Cara, at Hell In A Cell last year. It’s a No Way Out debut for both men. Hunico goes right to work on Sin Cara with kicks and a dropkick. Sin Cara hits a big snapmare sending Hunico to the outside and then looks to dive out but Hunico hits him with some knees. Hunico rolls Sin Cara back into the ring and hits him with a senton for a one count. Hunico smashes Sin Cara into the top turnbuckle a few times and then hits some chops. Hunico hits a big pendulum dropkick for a one count and then applies a chinlock. Hunico breaks the chinlock and hits more chops before looking for a Gory special but Sin Cara counters it. Hunico hits a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker for a one count and then goes back to the chinlock. Sin Cara fights out of it but Hunico hits a modified powerbomb.

Hunico goes back to the chinlock, there’s already been too many of these for my liking. A “we want Ryder” chant breaks out. Hunico hits a kick for a two count and then goes back to another chinlock. Jesus Christ, these chinlocks have killed what could have been a really good match. Sin Cara fights out of it and looks for a hurricanrana but Hunico counters with a powerbomb for a two count. Sin Cara hits a big flying headscissors and a boot before hitting a springboard hurricanrana and a couple of dropkicks. Hunico fires back with a dropkick but Sin Cara hits a tilt-a-whirl headscissors which is enough for the three. That was bad.

CM Punk (c) vs. Kane vs. Daniel Bryan – Triple threat match for the WWE Championship

This is a first time triple threat match between these three men. CM Punk is 0-1 at No Way Out, Kane is 2-4 and Daniel Bryan makes his No Way Out debut. CM Punk and Daniel Bryan join Cody Rhodes, Dolph Ziggler and (shortly) John Cena as the only men to have wrestled on all 6 PPV’s so far in 2012. This is a 7th PPV title defence for CM Punk during this reign, only Triple H, Diesel and John Cena have successfully defended a title 7 times on PPV during the same reign. The bell rings and the three men go after each other. Kane wraps his hands around both mens throats but they work together to fight him off, taking it in turns to kick Kane down to the mat. Both men try to pin Kane, interrupting each others falls. The two men exchange chops and right hands until Punk back body drops Bryan out of the ring. Punk looks for a suicide dive but Kane knocks him down with a clotheslines for a two count.

Daniel Bryan knocks Kane out of the ring and then hits a suicide dive. CM Punk then hits a springboard cross body on both men before celebrating with the crowd. Punk throws Bryan into the ring and pins him for a two count. Punk applies a modified chinlock until Kane drags Punk out of the ring. Kane hits Bryan with an uppercut and then rams Punk into a ringpost a few times. Back in the ring and Kane hits a hard Irish whip as he start to target the back of the WWE Champion. Kane hits lefts and rights and then a low dropkick for a near fall. Kane applies a body scissors but Punk fights him off. Bryan hits a running dropkick on Punk but runs into a sidewalk slam form Kane. Bryan drop toe holds Kane into the middle turnbuckle and then baseball slides him out of the ring. Punk hits Bryan with chops but Bryan hits a running knee. Daniel hits four knee drops for a one count and then a double underhook suplex. Bryan heads to the top but Punk hits him with a couple of forearms. Punk sets up for a superplex but Kane pulls Punk away and looks for a superplex of his own but Punk pulls Kane down. Kane then pulls Punk down and the two men slug it out which allows Daniel Bryan to hit a dropkick on both men.

Daniel Bryan hits kicks on both men but Punk fights back and hits running knees on both men. Punk hits a neckbreaker on Kane for a two count and then a powerslam on Daniel Bryan for a two count. Punk heads to the top but Bryan goes up with him for a superplex. Kane joins the fray and puts Bryan on his shoulders allowing Punk to hit a springboard clothesline on Bryan before clotheslining Kane out of the ring and pinning Bryan for a near fall. Punk powerslams Bryan and heads to the top, hitting a flying elbow drop for a two count. Punk motions for go to sleep and he scoops Bryan up but Kane knocks him down with a big boot. Kane pins CM Punk for a two count and then hits him with an Irish whip and a clothesline. Punk hits a big kick to the head and then looks for another top rope elbow drop but Kane gets out of the way. Daniel Bryan then leaps off the top with a headbutt on Punk for a near fall.

Bryan low-bridges the top rope, sending Kane out to the apron before knocking him off. Punk then rolls up Bryan for a two count but Bryan gets up first, hits a kick to the head and then locks on the yes lock! Punk rolls through like he did at Over The Limit but Bryan kicks out. Punk then hits the go to sleep! Kane drags Bryan out of the ring so Punk can’t pin him. Kane then heads to the top and hits a big clothesline on Punk. Kane motions for a chokeslam but Punk counters with a DDT for a near fall. Punk heads to the top and hits a top rope elbow drop for a near fall. Kane hits a big boot on Punk and then a chokeslam for a near fall. Kane screams at the referee and then motions for a tombstone but Punk counters. AJ Lee then appears on the apron but Punk pushes Kane into AJ, knocking her off. Punk hits go to sleep on Kane and pins him for the three! CM Punk retains! A really good triple threat match between these three men. After the match Kane carries a grinning AJ to the back.

Ryback vs. Dan Delaney & Rob Grymes – 2 on 1 handicap match

Well this should be a squash. Ryback making his No Way Out debut tonight, Dan and Rob making their PPV debut. Ryback hits a back body drop on Grymes and a clothesline on Delaney. Ryback then gorilla press slams Grymes, slams Delaney and then goes up to the middle rope and splashes Delaney. Ryback screams “finish it” and scoops up both men onto his shoulders before marching around and hitting both men with a Samoan drop. He screams “feed me three” and then pins both men for the win. Another win for Ryback.

John Cena vs. The Big Show – Steel Cage Match

This is the fourth PPV singles match between these two men, John Cena is 3-0 up against Big Show so far. Big Show is 2-4 at No Way Out, John Cena is 3-2. John Laurinaitis is the first man, he hobbles out and sits ringside. Big Show is out second and Vince McMahon third. The bell rings and Big Show immediately grabs Cena by the throat but Cena fights him off. Big Show knocks Cena down and then throws him into the cage. Big Show treads all over Cena and then sets up for a WMD punch but Cena ducks and Big Show punches the cage. Cena looks to climb the cage but Big Show tanks him down and hits him with a headbutt. Big Show hits a big chop and then chokes Cena with his boot. Cena ducks a second chop and hits a dropkick before attempting to climb out of the cage door but Big Show pulls him back in. Big Show hits a clothesline and then launches Cena into the cage again.

Big Show hits some right hands as he continues to dominate Cena. Show squashes Cena in the corner and tries for a second squash but runs into Cenas boots. Cena follows it up with a bulldog for a one count and then looks to climb over the top of the cage but Big Show pulls him back in. Cena drops Show on the top rope, crotching him and then hits a big shoulder charge. Big Show takes the advantage and rams Cena into the cage again before pinning him for a two count. Big Show then hits a Vader bomb for a one count. Big Show then heads to the top and lifts Cena up with him before bouncing Cena’s head off the top of the cage, walking across the top rope and looking for an elbow drop but Cena rolls out of the way. Big Show looks to crawl out of the cage door but Cena hangs on to him, stopping him from getting out. Cena pulls Big Show back into the ring and then knocks him down with a shoulder charge.

Cena then looks to get out of the cage door but John Laurinaitis slams the door shut! Vince McMahon then pulls Laurinaitis out of the way and opens the door but Big Johnny then smashes McMahon into the door! Big Show hits Cena with a chokeslam and pins him for a near fall. Big Show then looks for a WMD punch but Cena ducks and Big Show knocks out the referee! Cena looks for an attitude adjustment but Big Show counters and this time hits the WMD! Big Show looks towards the door but Brodus Clay appears with a chair! He begs Big Show to step out of the cage. Big Show looks to climb out the cage but out come Santino, Alex Riley and Zack Ryder. Big Show manages to punch all of those off the cage and then out comes Kofi Kingston! Kofi kicks Big Show back into the ring and Cena drags himself towards the door. Big Show stops Cena from exiting the cage but Cena then hits an attitude adjustment! Cena covers Big Show but the referee is still out.

John Cena starts to climb the cage whilst Big Show crawls towards the door. Laurinaitis then swings his crutch at Cena but Brodus Clay grabs Johnny. Cena then climbs down a second or two before Big Show can get out of the door. John Cena wins! Brodus Clay holds John Laurinaitis for Cena. Cena scoops him up and Vince McMahon then gets in the face of Laurinaitis and fires him! Cena hits Big Johnny with an attitude adjustment through the Spanish announce table! Generally a pretty boring match but it picked up at the end.

And that was No Way Out 2012. 5 matches announced but in the end we have 9 matches. It started with a match that we knew was going ahead with Sheamus beating Dolph Ziggler. This was a good match. Ziggler seems to be the go-to man when they need somebody to put over a World or WWE Champion. He’s done the same with the likes of Edge and CM Punk in the past. Dolph is becoming popular now and that momentum could take him to the main event. Sheamus is a solid champion and if Alberto Del Rio is back soon then I’m sure that feud will pick up. The second match was comedy relief with Santino beating Ricardo Rodriguez in a tuxedo match. It was ridiculous really and not very enjoyable. Santino could be doing better as he is United States Champion and I would have preferred to have seen a title defence. I can’t see him holding the belt much longer.

Christian beat Cody Rhodes next in a good match. What I like about this is, is that it was just a straight up wrestling match. No controversy, no gimmicks, just a wrestling match for the Intercontinental Championship. Christian wins and I hope that Cody moves up to a bigger and better things. He’s not far away from the main event, maybe he’ll win Money In The Bank next month? Next came the four way tag team match and I enjoyed this. Four good tag teams, three of which are proper tag teams. Prime Time Players won the match with help from Abraham Washington who turned his back on Primo and Epico. I do think he’s a better fit for Titus and Darren. I liked this, I like Titus and young as number one contenders, hopefully they build to a match with Kofi and R-Truth at Money In The Bank next month.

Triple H was out next and challenged Brock Lesnar to a match at Summerslam. I’m sure that match will happen and I look forward to it. Then came the Divas match with Layla beating Beth Phoenix again. Beth has been doing a lot of losing as of late. Honestly, there aren’t many other women in the division now, especially with the Bella’s leaving. Layla is good though, I don’t mind her as champion. I can’t see Beth being out of the title picture for long. Sin Cara beat Hunico in a match with all the potential in the world but it didn’t live up to it. Four chinlocks in a match that lasted less that 6 minutes isn’t needed. They continue to push Sin Cara but he continues to not deliver. A forgettable match. CM Punk retained his WWE Championship against Kane and Daniel Bryan. AJ Lee showed up as expected and she actually got knocked off the apron which distracted Kane long enough for CM Punk to hit go to sleep. This storyline is the best thing going in WWE right now and judging from the grin on her face as she left, it is far from over. CM Punk is having a hell of a reign, this was a good match.

Ryback beat a couple of jobber. Again, we don’t need this on pay per view, save it for Raw and Smackdown. I didn’t mind him beating Camacho at Over The Limit but he shouldn’t be fighting these nobodies on PPV. John Cena then beat The Big Show. It wasn’t a great match, there was loads of interference which probably helped make it more entertaining. The big story is that Vince McMahon fired John Laurinaitis which means we’ll need a new General Manager of Raw and Smackdown.
