Extreme Rules, the one night a year where WWE goes extreme! If you don’t count TLC, Hell In A Cell and Elimination Chamber. I guess “Extreme” must be different. Anyway, the man behind “Extreme” Paul Heyman has a busy night as his client Brock Lesnar is scheduled for action in the rubber match against Triple H. Lesnar beat Triple H at Summerslam last year and Triple H would get revenge, beating Brock at Wrestlemania next month. Paul Heyman would then issue the challenge for one more match inside a Steel Cage. Triple H would accept the match by hitting Paul Heyman with a pedigree. Lesnar would respond the next week on Raw by going to Triple H’s office in Titan Towers and tearing it apart.

The WWE Championship is set to be defending in a Last Man Standing match. Ryback turned his back on Cena, attacking him after as match. Ryback would go on to explain that he always had John Cena’s back but Cena never had his. Where was Cena when Ryback was being attacked by The Shield week after week? Cena would get attacked by The Shield and Ryback chose not to save Cena, a favour that Cena would return the next week when Ryback was attacked. The two now meet in a Last Man Standing match with Ryback at his most dangerous. Another match scheduled for tonight is a rematch from Wrestlemania between Chris Jericho and Fandango. At the biggest show of the year Fandango beat Jericho in one of the biggest upsets of the night but the rivalry isn’t over and Jericho looks to get revenge tonight.

The night after Wrestlemania was a big one when Dolph Ziggler cashed in his Money In The Bank briefcase to beat Alberto Del Rio and become World Heavyweight Champion. since then Alberto Del Rio and Jack sWagger have both looked to become number one contender to the title. Booker T would make a triple threat match between the three for Extreme Rules however Jack Swagger would punt Ziggler so hard in the face that it would give him a concussion and rule him out of the match. It was then made a singles match between Alberto Del Rio and Jack Swagger with the winner becoming number one contender to the World Heavyweight Championship. And it’ll be an I Quit match.

The Shield will be in action in two separate matches for the first time on pay per view and they’ll both be for titles. Dean Ambrose has pinned Kofi Kingston a couple of times on Raw which has led to him getting a United States Championship match tonight. The other two members of The Shield, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns will be receiving a tag team title shot against their long time rivals and champions Team Hell No in a tornado tag team match. Also tonight Randy Orton battles the man he trusted to be on their team at Wrestlemania, The Big Show and Sheamus goes one on one with a man who has tried to out-muscle the Celtic Warrior in recent weeks, Mark Henry. The two have competed in a tug of war and am arm wrestling contest but following an attack from Henry with a strap, the two will meet tonight in a strap match.

On the pre-show The Miz defeated Cody Rhodes.

The show kicks off with a video package about the lack of rules. It then focuses on John Cena and Ryback  before moving on to Triple H and Brock Lesnar.

Michael Cole welcomes us to St Louis. He’s joined by Jerry Lawler and JBL.

Chris Jericho vs. Fandango

This is the second PPV match between these two men, it’s a rematch from Wrestlemania last month where Fandango beat Jericho. Jericho is 1-2 at Extreme Rules PPV’s, Fandango makes his debut at the event tonight. Fandango is joined by his dancer Summer Rae. The crowd are behind Jericho in this one as the bell rings and Jericho forces Fandango into the corner. Fandango gets the first knockdown in but then runs into a dropkick. Jericho hits a reverse elbow and Fandango scarpers from the ring. Jericho chases him around the ring and back into it where he knocks Fandango down again with an elbow. Jericho then baseball slides Fandango out of the ring before heading to the top and diving out with a cross body. Back in the ring and Jericho lays in the boots. Fandango takes down Jericho for the first near fall of the night. Fandango hits a big kick to the face for another near fall and then applies a chinlock.

Jericho gets out of the neat fall and there’s a bit of a botch as Fandango hits a knee but Jericho looks to counter and doesn’t. Fandango hits a legdrop for a two count and then goes back to the chinlock. Jericho gets out with a side suplex and then heads to the top and hits a double axe handle. Jericho then hits a bulldog before looking to lock on the walls of Jericho but Fandango kicks him away. Jericho then heads to the top and hits a cross body which Fandango rolls through and gets a near fall. Fandango looks for the top rope legdrop but Jericho moves out of the way and hits a lionsault for a near fall. Jericho hits some chops and then manages to lock on the walls of Jericho! Fandango gets to the bottom rope to break the hold. Fandango hits an enzeguri and then heads to the top but Jericho hits him with a codebreaker which is enough for the three! Jericho beats Fandango in the opener tonight.

There’s a plug for the WWE Championship match up later. We’re shown some footage from Raw with The Shield attacking Cena and Ryback finishing the job with a chair.

Kofi Kingston (c) vs. Dean Ambrose – United States Championship match

This is a first PPV match between these two men, it’s a PPV singles match debut for any member of The Shield. Kofi is 2-0 at Extreme Rules events, both times he’s wrestled at this event before he’s come away with the United States Championship. Ambrose makes his Extreme Rules debut tonight. The rest of The Shield head to the back leaving Ambrose alone. Ambrose takes down Kofi in the early going but Kofi looks for trouble in paradise which Dean avoids. Kofi hits a monkey flip and then some right hands in the corner but Ambrose hits a clothesline to take the advantage. Ambrose hits a neckbreaker for a one count and then rakes Kingston on the top rope. Ambrose hits a running dropkick for a two count and then locks on a crossface chicken-wing. Kofi gets out of it and then hits a couple of chops and a dropkick before dropping Ambrose with a clothesline.

Kofi hits the boom drop and then motions for trouble in paradise but Ambrose backs off into the corner. Kofi manages to hit SOS for a near fall and then heads to the top but Ambrose goes up with him and hits a double underhook suplex from the top! Ambrose gets a near fall as he looks to add a fourth PPV victory to his name. Kofi hits a springboard cross body for a near fall which sends Ambrose to the apron. Kofi then hits trouble in paradise sending Ambrose crashing to the outside. Kofi rolls Dean back in and hooks the leg but Ambrose grabs the bottom rope. Ambrose rolls up Kofi and gets a two count. Kofi looks for another trouble in paradise but Ambrose avoids it and hits an inverted DDT for the three! Dean Ambrose wins the United States Championship! Rollins and Reigns come out to celebrate with Ambrose.

We’re shown some footage from the previous few weeks with Sheamus and Mark Henry having an arm wrestling contest and a tug of war. We’re then shown Sheamus beating Wade Barrett and Mark Henry attacking Sheamus with a leather strap.

Sheamus vs. Mark Henry – Strap match

This is the second PPV match between these two men. Mark Henry previously beat Sheamus by count out at Summerslam 2011. Sheamus is 2-1 at Extreme Rules events whilst Mark Henry is 0-1. Sheamus takes down Mark Henry using the strap in the early going. The two men then slug it out until Sheamus takes Henry down with a chopblock. Sheamus lays in some boots and then hits one of the top turnbuckles before Mark Henry stops him from hitting a second. Henry then ties Sheamus up using the strap and touches two turnbuckles before Sheamus crawls out to the apron top stop Henry from touching a third. Henry clotheslines Sheamus out of the ring before pulling him up the the apron but Sheamus drops him on the top rope. Sheamus then touches one of the turnbuckles before running around the apron and hitting a second. Sheamus runs around the apron and hits a third turnbuckle but Mark Henry then knocks Sheamus to the outside.

Mark Henry slams Sheamus back into the ring and then whips him with the strap. Henry puts Sheamus on his shoulder and then walks around and touches three turnbuckles but Sheamus touches them too. Henry notices and instead decides to slam Sheamus into the mat. Sheamus low blows Henry using the strap and then knocks down the World’s Strongest Man with a clothesline. Sheamus hits some kneedrops and then whips Henry with the strap. Sheamus touches three top turnbuckles but Mark Henry stops him from hitting the fourth with a spinebuster. The fight goes to the outside where Sheamus ties Henry to the ringpost with the strap before pulling Mark into the ringpost. Back in the ring and Sheamus hits three turnbuckles but Henry stops him and looks for the world’s strongest slam but Sheamus counters and hits a brogue kick before hitting the fourth turnbuckle for the victory! Sheamus beats Mark Henry tonight! Decent match between these two.

AJ is backstage talking to (presumably) Dolph Ziggler on the phone. Kaitlyn shows up and makes her hang up. Kaitlyn says that she has spoken to Vickie Guerrero and that AJ is too distraught about Dolph’s concussion to wrestle tonight. AJ then makes a comment about Kaitlyn’s secret admirer wanting to stay secret. Kaitlyn says that since getting a headache AJ is jo longer the biggest headache in Zigglers life. Kaitlyn calls AJ Looney Tunes and AJ says it’s fitting that Kaitlyn is quoting a pig. The two then get into a big brawl as The Bella Twins and Tamina watch on.

We’re shown some footage from Smackdown 2 weeks ago showing how Jack Swagger kicked Dolph Ziggler in the face to give him a concussion and take him off this card.

Alberto Del Rio vs. Jack Swagger – World Heavyweight Championship Number one contenders I Quit match

This is a second PPV match between these two men, a second Wrestlemania rematch where Del Rio defeated Jack Swagger. Jack Swagger is 2-1 at Extreme Rules PPV’s, Alberto Del Rio is 0-1. Zeb Colter gets on the mic before the match and runs down the crowd using political references. Zeb says that they are going to ship Alberto Del Rio back to wherever he came from before they go hunting for Dolph Ziggler. Ricardo Rodriguez is present for Alberto Del Rio. The bell rings and Del Rio clotheslines Swagger out of the ring before hitting him with a suicide dive. Alberto then pulls a kendo stick out from under the ring but Swagger avoids a shot and Del Rio hits the ring steps. Swagger then hits a belly to belly suplex on the outside, Del Rio doesn’t want to quit. Swagger pulls away the protective padding from the barricade and rubs Del Rio’s face into the metal but Del Rio doesn’t want to quit. Del Rio smashes Swagger into the ring steps, Swagger doesn’t want to quit.

Back in the ring and Swagger lays into Del Rio with a kendo stick. Jack then pulls Del Rio around the ringpost. Del Rio doesn’t want to quit so Swagger goes back to work with the kendo stick. Or is it a singapore cane? I’ve never been sure if there’s a difference. Swagger hits a clothesline as Del Rio tries to fight back and then ties up Alberto in the ropes. Swagger hits Del Rio with five more blows from the kendo stick but Del Rio still doesn’t want to quit. Del Rio rolls to the apron and then manages to lock a cross-arm breaker on over the top rope. Swagger grabs the microphone out of the referees hand and smashes Del Rio with it, sending him tumbling to the outside. Swagger exits the ring to grab a chair but Del Rio catches him with an enzeguri on the way back in. Del Rio hits a couple of clotheslines and a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker before hitting a low superkick. Del Rio then lays into Swagger with the kendo stick before hitting a backstabber.

Del Rio motions for the cross-arm breaker but Swagger counters and hits a slam. Swagger hits a Swagger Bomb and then a gut-wrench powerbomb but Del Rio still won’t quit. Swagger hits another gut-wrench powerbomb but Del Rio still won’t quit. Alberto then locks on the cross-arm breaker out of nowhere! Swagger won’t quit and counters into the patriot lock! Ricardo has a towel on the outside and think about throwing it in but Del Rio tells him not to. Zeb Colter then takes the towel and throws it in! The referee turns around and sees Ricardo, thinking he threw in the towel and calls for the bell! Jack Swagger wins the match tonight! Wait. Another referee then runs out and tells Mike Chioda that it was Zeb that threw in the towel! Chioda asks for a replay and watches it before saying that the match will continue! Del Rio is asked if he can continue, he looks hurt but he gets to his feet and the match continues.

Swagger runs at Del Rio as the match continues and goes right to work on the injured leg. Del Rio kicks Swagger away and then locks on the cross-arm breaker! Swagger looks to counter but can’t. Swagger then says “I Quit”! Del Rio wins the match! Good match between these two!

Team Hell No (Daniel Bryan & Kane) vs. The Shield (Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns) – Tornado Tag Team match for the WWE Tag Team Championships

This is a first time match between these two tag teams. Kane is 1-1 at Extreme Rules PPV’s, Daniel Bryan is 0-1 and both Reigns and Rollins make their Extreme Rules debut. The bell rings and Kane and Roman Reigns pair off whilst Daniel Bryan and Seth Rollins go at it. Kane hits Reigns with a DDT whilst Brian takes Rollins down with a clothesline. Daniel Bryan locks a surfboard stretch on Seth Rollins and Kane hits Seth with a dropkick for a one count. Reigns then takes down Daniel Bryan and hits Kane with some right hands. Rollins and Reigns double team Kane and then double team Daniel Bryan. Reigns hits Bryan with a big clothesline for a two count. Rollins and Reigns hit Kane with a double suplex and then set Bryan up for a top rope powerbomb but Bryan counters with a hurricanrana. Kane then sends Rollins and Reigns out of the ring and Daniel Bryan dives out at them with a suicide dive.

Back in the ring and it’s advantage Team Hell No. Bryan and Kane hit a couple of clothesline on their opponents and then hits a double sidewalk slam on Rollins. Kane heads to the top and hits a clothesline on Rollins and Bryan then heads to the top and hits a flying headbutt on Rollins. Kane pins Rollins for a near fall as Reigns makes the save. Reigns looks for a Samoan drop on Bryan but Bryan counters and locks the no lock on! Rollins drops Kane on the top rope and then breaks up the no lock. Kane then chokeslams Rollins but Reigns hits Kane with a spear and all four men are down! Reigns is up first and goes to work on Bryan with right hands. Kane makes the save but Reigns sends Kane into Bryan. Kane counters a superman punch and looks for a chokeslam but Rollins makes the save. Roman then hits Kane with a spear and hooks the leg but Daniel Bryan saves the titles.

Bryan hits some kicks to the chest of Roman Reigns but Reigns ducks one and rolls Bryan up for a two count. Bryan looks to lock on the no lock again but Reigns counters and slingshots Bryan into Rollins who kicks Bryan in the face. Rollins and Reigns then hit a double team flying knee drop/burning hammer which is enough for the three! Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns win the match and the WWE Tag Team Championships! Ambrose comes out to celebrate.

Randy Orton vs. The Big Show – Extreme Rules match

This is a first time PPV match between these two men. Randy Orton is 2-2 at Extreme Rules events, Big Show is 1-3. Orton gets a good pop in his hometown. The bell rings and it’s a quick start to the match with Orton laying in right hands and kicks. Big Show pushes him away and hits a shoulder tackle to take down Randy before head-butting him out of the ring. Orton pulls a kendo stick from under the ring and nails Big Show with it a couple of times before hitting a headbutt. Big Show pulls the kendo stick out of his hands and snaps it in half. Orton grabs another kendo stick and hits Big Show with it but again Big Show takes down Orton and snaps the kendo stick in half. Big Show hits two big chops and then looks to throw Orton into the ringpost but Orton counters and Big Show goes into the post. Orton then pulls a ladder out from under the ring but Big Show kicks it into his face. Back in the ring and Big Show launches Orton into the ringpost before choking Randy with his boot.

Big Show looks to be targeting the left shoulder of Orton, applying an armbar. Big Show then squashes Orton in the corner before bouncing off the ropes but Orton takes him down with a low dropkick. Orton hits a high dropkick and then a splash in the corner before laying in some right hands. Big Show carries Orton out of the corner and hits a chokeslam for a near fall. Big Show pulls a ladder and a chair out from under the ring and slides it in. He then sets up the ladder across two chairs. Big Show hits a sidewalk slam for a two count and then lays Orton across the ladder. Big Show climbs up to the second rope but Orton rolls out of the way and Big Show hits the ladder! Orton covers Big Show who kicks out at two. Orton hits an impressive looking hangmans neckbreaker off the top rope rather than the second and then motions for an RKO. Orton hits the RKO and hooks the leg but Big Show kicks out at 2!

Orton pulls a chair out from under the ring and smashes Big Show with it on the outside. Back in the ring and Orton continues to use the chair before Big Show takes him down with a spear. Orton then hits another RKO onto the a chair! Big Show is still moving, crawling to the corner he shoves the chairs out of the ring. Orton then motions for a punt! He hits it and hooks the leg, getting the three! Randy Orton beats Big Show tonight! A slow match which picked up at the end.

John Cena (c) vs. Ryback – Last Man Standing match for the WWE Championship

This is a first time singles match between these two men on pay per view. John Cena is 4-0 at Extreme Rules PPV’s having won at every Extreme Rules event so far whilst Ryback is 1-0. Cena has beaten some big guys at Extreme Rules before including Big Show, Batista and Brock Lesnar. This is Cena’s first title defence since winning the title at Wrestlemania. As it stands, of all the current champions in WWE, only Kaitlyn has successfully defended her title on PPV up to now. Ryback takes down Cena in the early going but Cena gets back into it with a bulldog just to be taken down with a clothesline. Ryback hits some shoulder charges in the corner but Cena explodes out with some right hands. Ryback runs into Cena’s boot and Cena heads to the middle rope but Ryback catches him and hits a powerslam. Ryback hits a gorilla press slam which is impressive because Cena is a heavy guy. Ryback then hits a powerbomb and Cena beats the ten count at eight. He then low-bridges Ryback, sending the big guy to the outside.

Cena pulls a table out from under the ring and slides it into the ring. Cena then sets up for an attitude adjustment but Ryback counters with a jawbreaker. Ryback sets the table up in the corner but Cena hits him with lefts and rights, a shoulder tackle and looks for a second but Ryback catches him and hits a fallaway slam through the table! Cena beats the count at 8 and then hits a side slam and a five knuckle shuffle. Cena sets up for the attitude adjustment but Ryback nips down and hits a spear. Ryback throws the table out of the ring as Cena gets up at the count of 8 again. Ryback then sets up for a powerbomb but Cena counters and hits a powerbomb of his own! Ryback just about beats the count and immediately collapses back down. Cena looks for a hurricanrana but instead locks on some sort of sleeper but Ryback powers him into the mat. Ryback hits a meathook clothesline and Cena beats the count and then locks on the STF! Cena releases the hold and grabs a table from the outside, setting it up in the ring.

Ryback beats the count and takes down Cena before setting up for shellshock but Cena counters and hits the attitude adjustment through the table! Both men are down. Both men manage to get to their feet. Cena heads to the top but Ryback hammers him up there and then hits shellshock! Cena beats the count and Ryback exits the ring and grabs a chair but Cena spears Ryback through the barricade! The two men get to their feet and battle through the crowd where Ryback pulls apart an advertising sponsor and smashes Cena with it. Cena gets to his feet and locks on a sleeper before breaking the hold. Ryback gets up at 9 and Cena goes right to work, laying Ryback down on a table. Cena then climbs up into the stands and dive off with a splash putting Ryback through the table. Ryback beats the count again and Cena sprays him with the fire extinguisher which Ryback sells like pepper spray.

Cena nails Ryback with the fire extinguisher but Ryback gets back up. Cena hits Ryback with the extinguisher again, leaving Ryback laying on the top of the entrance ramp. Ryback gets up at 7. Cena sets up for attitude adjustment but Ryback gets down and rams Cena through the set! Both men are (presumably) laid out. You can’t see them. Finally we have a camera backstage and both men are out. The crowd are booing big time as this one seems to have ended a draw. Ryback is helped to his feet whilst medics see to John Cena. This match was better than I thought it would be but nobody likes a draw. Especially after a spear through a curtain.

Rating: 7/10

Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar – Steel Cage match

This is the third PPV match between these two men. Brock won at Summerslam last year, Triple H won at Wrestlemania so this is the rubber match. Triple H and Brock Lesnar are both 0-1 at Extreme Rules events. We’re told that it’s a brand new steel cage for this match, it’s a foot higher than before. Triple H attacks LEsnar as he is making his entrance. They battle into the ring where Triple H takes Lesnar down. Triple H then hits some right hands and then throws Lesnar into the cage. Triple H then sets up for a pedigree but Lesnar back body drops him into the cage. Lesnar rams Triple H off the cage a few times and then lays in the boots. Brock launches Triple H into the cage and then tosses Triple H into the opposite side of the cage. Brock looks to do it a third time but Triple H counters. Triple H then lays in some right hands and a high knee. Brock ducks a clotheslines and hits a German suplex.

Brock launches Triple H into the cage again and looks for a running knee but Triple H gets out of the way. Brock hits the cage knee first and Triple H heads to the top rope but Lesnar scoops him up and hits a running powerslam before selling his knee again. Triple H targets the hurt knee of Lesnar before saying “shoot me in” so Brock sends Triple H into the ropes and ducks the head where Triple H hits a knee to the face. Triple H looks for a pedigree but Lesnar counters and locks on the kimura! Triple H hammers away at Brocks knee to get out of it but Lesnar knocks him down with a clothesline. Triple H looks to crawl out of the door but Heyman shuts it in his face. Lesnar hits an F5 and hooks the leg but Triple H kicks out. Heyman then hands Lesnar a chair and he rams it into the gut of Triple H before smashing it across his back. Lesnar looks for another F5 but this time his knee buckles. Triple H hits a chopblock and both men are down. Triple H picks up the chair and beats Lesnar with it.

Triple H works the left leg of Lesnar but Lesnar manages to lock on the kimura again! Triple H rams Brock into the corner and once again goes after the knee to break the hold. Triple H then locks on the figure four! Brock manages it turn it over which causes Triple H to break the hold. Lesnar then gets to his feet and climbs the cage, getting to the top but Triple H smashes his knee with a chair. Triple H beats Lesnar off the cage which causes Brock to fall back into the ring. Triple H grins and pulls a sledgehammer out from the top of the cage! Lesnar manages to pull Triple H back into the ring, crotching him on the top rope. Brock then grabs the sledgehammer, swings it at Triple H who ducks and then takes Brock down and locks on a sharpshooter! Lesnar reaches for the sledgehammer and grabs it. Paul Heyman then gets in the ring so Triple H releases the sharpshooter and hits Heyman with a pedigree! Triple H then hits Lesnar with a pedigree and hooks the leg but Brock kicks out at 2!

Triple H picks up the sledgehammer but Paul Heyman hits him with a low blow! Lesnar gets to his feet and grabs the sledgehammer himself. He smashes it into Triple H’s face and really should just walk out the door now. But instead he limps around the ring, pulls Triple H up to his feet and hits an F5! Brock hooks the leg and gets the three. Brock Lesnar beats Triple H tonight. Good match between these two.

And that was Extreme Rules 2013. It felt like a decent show. There was nothing incredible but there wasn’t a bad match on the card either. Jericho and Fandango kicked off the show and actually had a better match than they did at Wrestlemania. I was a bit more into this one. Jericho won which was the right call. I like Fandango but he isn’t in Jericho’s league. It was a clean win with a codebreaker so this feud is probably over unless they go to a rubber match next month. The match itself was fairly average but an improvement on their previous. Dean Ambrose then beat Kofi Kingston to become United States Champion. It was a good night for The Shield but with Ambrose winning the singles title does it make him the unofficial leader? Hard to say. This was a good match which I’m used to saying with Kingston, he is a great hand and rarely has a bad match. Ambrose remains undefeated on pay per view.

Sheamus beat Mark Henry in a strap match. Decent match with a different finish. I liked the finish but it was too slow. The referee should have called off the turnbuckles because of the time between the third and fourth turnbuckle hit but obviously that was the finish so it had to stand. This result seems weird as Henry beat Ryback at Wrestlemania so I was expecting a bigger push. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Sheamus get involved in the World Heavyweight Championship picture soon with Dolph Ziggler as champion. Alberto Del Rio then beat Jack Swagger cleanly in the I Quit match to become number one contender to the World Heavyweight Championship. This was fairly much as expected with Ziggler being the champion. Swagger loses a lot of heat by quitting out so I’m not sure it was the best stipulation to have on this match. I’m guessing we’ll get Del Rio and Ziggler next month at Payback. It’s a shame he got concussed, I was looking forward to a triple threat ladder match, could’ve been a real sleeper.

The Shield beat Team Hell No in a tornado tag team match to become the new tag team champions. Another title change and another title win for The Shield. I like this result, Team Hell No have been excellent champions but you can see they’re getting less tv time and this run might be coming to an end. Rollins and Reigns join Ambrose as the only men in WWE history up to now with 4 wins from 4 on pay per view. Randy Orton beat The Big Show in a match that was pretty slow for a long time but had a great finish. It was nice to see the punt back and it made Big Show look like a beast as it took something extra special to beat him. Orton is another one that could get involved in the World Heavyweight Championship picture. He’s been coasting recently and he could do with a meaty storyline.

John Cena and Ryback fought to a no contest which will mean their feud continuing into next month. Nobody likes a draw but I like the way they did it, going through the set. Ryback is a good, fresh heel for Cena at the moment and it makes sense for the two to continue for another month. This was a fun match, I enjoyed it. Probably Ryback’s best match up to now too. And in the main event Brock Lesnar beat Triple H after a sledgehammer shot and an F5. Absolutely the right decision. Lesnar is great, his matches are mesmerising and I’d like to see more match from him. This was a really solid match. With both men being part time it’s hard to argue that these matches don’t matter as it could be a few months until they show up again. But I think it’s fair to say that this rivalry is over.
