Money In The Bank returns and there will be two Money In The Bank ladder matches, one dubbed the “All-Star” match and the other for stars of the future. The All-Stars, who are competing for a shot at the WWE Championship, consists of CM Punk, Christian, Randy Orton, Sheamus, Daniel Bryan and the returning Rob Van Dam. Kane was also supposed to be in this match but he was taking out by The Wyatt Family who debuted on Raw last week. In the World Heavyweight Championship Money In The Bank ladder match are the rosters heels consisting of Jack Swagger, Cesaro, Damien Sandow, Cody Rhodes, Dean Ambrose, Fandango and Wade Barrett. What’s interesting about that match is the two teams involved with Teams Rhodes Scholars and The Real Americans, Cesaro and Jack Swagger.

The WWE Championship is also set to be defended tonight as John Cena defends against The World’s Strongest Man, Mark Henry. Henry looks as though he was about to retire in one of the greatest segments in Raw history. As John Cena went to embrace Henry it turned sour and Mark hit him with The World’s Strongest Slam. Henry would go on to explain that the WWE Championship was the one title that has eluded him in the WWE and he wants a shot at it. Dolph Ziggler has opted to use his rematch for the World Heavyweight Championship against Alberto Del Rio tonight. Zigglers relationship with AJ Lee seems to be getting worse but Dolph won’t be struggling with the concussion issues that he had before so vows to defeat Del Rio for the title tonight.

The Intercontinental Championship is set to be defended tonight as Curtis Axel puts the title on the line against The Miz. Axel won the title in a match involving The Miz and since then Miz has berated both Paul Heyman and Axel until he got himself a title match. Also tonight there will be a rematch for the WWE Divas Championship as AJ Lee puts the title on the line against the former champion and her former friend Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn has become friends with Layla as of late and will have Layla in her corner tonight. Also tonight will be a match between two men disappointed to not to be in the all-stars Money In The bank ladder match, Ryback and Chris Jericho.

On the pre-show Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns successfully retained the WWE Tag Team Championships when they beat The Usos.

A video package kicks us off about the importance of the Money In The Bank briefcases. One of the matches is about regaining past glories. The focus then shifts to John Cena and Mark Henry.

Michael Cole welcomes us to the event and with Fandango already in the ring we are right into the action.

Fandango vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Damien Sandow vs. Antonio Cesaro vs. Jack Swagger vs. Wade Barrett – World Heavyweight Championship Money In The Bank Ladder match

As Money In The Bank PPV records go Cody Rhodes is 0-3, Damien Sandow is 0-1, Jack Swagger is 0-2 and Wade Barrett is 0-1. Fandango, Dean Ambrose and Cesaro make their Money In The Bank PPV debuts tonight. One of these seven men will get their first MITB PPV victory tonight. Zeb Colter takes to the mic as he accompanies Cesaro and Jack Swagger to the ring. Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes continue to run down the crowd on their way to the ring. Sandow snatches the microphone out of Cody Rhodes hand at one point. Seven heels in this match which is interesting. Fandango and Wade Barrett get right into it and all seven men then slug it out. Jack Swagger pairs off with Dean Ambrose. Swagger and Cesaro clear the ring but on the outside Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow team up to slide a ladder in the ring. There’s a stand-ff then with Rhodes and Sandow and Swagger and Cesaro. Swagger and Cesaro throw their ladder at Team Rhodes Scholars to take the advantage.

Cesaro hits a gutwrench suplex on Rhodes onto a ladder. Swagger then throws Sandow in the ladder. Swagger and Cesaro look to sandwich Rhodes who ducks and hits a disaster kick on Cesaro before Swagger knocks him to the outside with a ladder. Swagger climbs the ladder but Ambrose knocks him off. Ambrose sends Swagger into a ladder in the corner before disposing of him. Ambrose climbs the ladder as he looks to go 5 wins undefeated on pay per view but Wade Barrett stops him. Barrett throws Ambrose out of the ring and then jabs Cesaro and Swagger off the apron. Fandango kicks a ladder into Barretts face and then hits a legdrop which hurts himself. Fandango sets up a ladder as Summer Rae watches on. Sandow stops Fandango from climbing as Dean Ambrose takes Cody Rhodes out. Sandow throws Fandango into a ladder and then suplexes him onto another. Wade Barrett takes one of the rungs off a ladder and hits Damien Sandow with it repeatedly.

Barrett climbs the ladder but Ambrose climbs the other side and the two men slug it out. Cesaro then hits a big uppercut on Wade to knock him off the ladder and Swagger pulls Ambrose off the other side. Ambrose actually countered with a DDT. Cesaro and Ambrose climb the ladder and slug it out at the top until Cesaro locks on a sleeper and then shoves Ambrose off. Cody Rhodes is the man to knocks Cesaro off the ladder, hitting a musclebuster onto another ladder. Barrett drops Rhodes with a DDT and then slams him onto a ladder. On the outside Swagger slingshots Sandow into a ladder. Barrett climbs a ladder but Jack Swagger goes up with him and knocks him off. Barrett knocks Swagger off with a bullhammer elbow and grabs the briefcase but Fandango stops him. Fandango hits a sunset flip powerbomb on Barrett and everybody is down. Fandango climbs the ladder but Dean Ambrose is the man to stop him. Ambrose hits an inverted DDT on Fandango and then climbs the ladder himself but Cesaro folds up the ladder and Swagger pulls him down. Ambrose fights him off and windmills with the ladder knocking anyone in sight down.

Swagger and Cesaro manage to lift the ladder up and tip Ambrose out of the ring before tossing the ladder out at Wade Barrett. Cesaro then gets up on Swaggers shoulders and Jack walks towards the middle of the ring. Cesaro has his fingertips on the briefcase but Cody Rhodes dropkicks them to the mat. Rhodes back body drops Swagger as the crowd chant “this is awesome”. Rhodes hits Cross-Rhodes on both Fandango and Wade Barrett and then grabs the biggest ladder he can find and slides it into the ring. Cody sets up the ladder and climbs to the top but Dean Ambrose climbs up the other side and the two men slug it out. Ambrose wins the exchange, headbutting Rhodes and busting him open. Rhodes then beats Ambrose off the top of the ladder and shoves him to the mat. But in come Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns who fight Cody Rhodes off the ladder and to the mat. Rollins then kicks Barrett off the apron and Reigns spears Fandango.

Rollins and Reigns set up the ladder for Dean Ambrose but The Usos then get involved and fight off Rollins and Reigns! Ambrose and Swagger also get into it. Cody Rhodes tips the ladder over and Ambrose falls to the outside on top of the six men. Cody sets up the ladder and the crowd get behind him as he climbs to the top but Damien Sandow comes from behind and tips Rhodes off the ladder before grabbing the briefcase himself! Damien Sandow wins the match and the Money In The Bank briefcase! A great way to kick off the show.

Justin Roberts introduces the new General Manager of Raw, Brad Maddox. He pays tribute to Vickie Guerrero and points her out with the pre-show panel. He calls her entertaining and then introduces a tribute video of Vickie being embarrassed. Maddox asks for everyone to give Vickie a standing ovation. This is terrible. He’s interrupted by The Miz.

Curtis Axel (c) vs. The Miz – Intercontinental Championship match

This is a first time singles match between these two men on pay per view. Miz hoping to become a three time Intercontinental Champion tonight. The Miz is 1-2 at Money In The Bank events, Axel makes his debut at the event tonight. Curtis is accompanied by Paul Heyman. Miz starts the match with a headlock and then takes Axel down with a shoulder charge. Axel hits some right hands and a chop as Heyman watches on. Miz hits a flapjack and kicks out Axel’s leg causing Curtis to retreat to the outside. Miz hits a baseball slide and then a double axe handle off the apron. Miz rolls Curtis back in the ring and then gets distracted by Paul Heyman. Miz then pretends to be hit by Heyman and goes down. The referee walks over and sends Heyman to the back! Nice Eddie Guerrero tribute there. A “we want Heyman” chant breaks out in Philadelphia.

The Miz gets the first near fall of the night but Axel takes the advantage with a side suplex for a two count. Axel lays in the boots and then hits a nice dropkick. This is a first PPV title defence for Axel. He hits a version of a snapmare and a low dropkick for a two count before applying an armbar. Miz blocks a side suplex and then counters a second attempt. Miz then avoids a splash in the corner and hits a running forearm, a running knee and a big boot. The Miz hits his trademark clothesline in the corner and then a double axe handle from the top for a near fall. Miz motions for a skull-crushing finale but Axel counters and looks for a Perfect-plex which Miz counters. Miz looks for the figure four but Axel kicks him into the ringpost and then hits the Perfect-plex for a near fall. I’m surprised Miz kicked out there. Miz counters a neckbreaker and then locks on the figure four! Axel manages to reverse the hold! Miz reverses the hold back! But this time Axel gets to the ropes to break the hold.

Curtis Axel rolls to the outside and The Miz chases him around the ring and back into it. Axel kicks Miz in the jaw as he gets back into the ring and then hits an inverted neckbreaker for the three! Curtis Axel beats The Miz to retain the Intercontinental Championship tonight! Not a terrible match but Miz really carried it.

AJ Lee (c) vs. Kaitlyn – WWE Divas Championship match

This is a second pay per view match between these two girls, AJ beat Kaitlyn for the title last month at Payback. Kaitlyn is 1-0 at Money In The Bank events, AJ makes her debut at the event tonight. AJ has Big E in her corner, Kaitlyn has Layla who is looking insane tonight. Kaitlyn chops AJ to the stomach in the early going which takes her down and then hits a gutbuster. AJ tries to crawl away and Kaitlyn launches her out of the ring, underneath the bottom rope. Kaitlyn then follows but AJ pushes her into the ringpost. AJ pulls Kaitlyn into the ringpost again before rolling her back into the ring and pinning her for a two count. AJ applies a hammerlock with a bridge which is nice. Kaitlyn gets to the bottom rope but AJ continues to work her left arm. AJ goes back to the hammerlock, applying a body scissors as she does. Kaitlyn gets to her feet and backs into the corner to break the hold and then hits a backbreaker.

Kaitlyn hits a reverse elbow and dropkick  before nailing a big shoulder tackle and a slop drop for a two count. AJ hits a slap but Kaitlyn decks her with a clothesline. Kaitlyn gets a two count on the pinfall and then looks for a DDT but AJ counters with one of her own. AJ heads to the top but Kaitlyn pushes her to the outside and Big E catches the Divas Champion. Kaitlyn exits the ring but Big E rolls AJ back in. Kaitlyn gets back in the ring but gets caught with a roll-up for a two count. Kaitlyn then hits a spear on AJ but Kaitlyn has a hurt shoulder and isn’t quick enough to make the cover. AJ then locks on the black widow submission hold. AJ takes the hold down to the mat and Kaitlyn taps out. AJ Lee retains the Divas Championship tonight. Good match from these two girls.

We’re thrown to the kick-off panel which is Josh Mathews with Vickie Guerrero, Big Show and Kofi Kingston.

Chris Jericho vs. Ryback

This is a first time meeting between these two men at Wrestlemania and if you’ll believe the rumours then it’s a match that should have happened at Wrestlemania. Chris Jericho is 0-2 at Money In The Bank events whilst Ryback is 1-0. Ryback starts the match by throwing Jericho to the mat a couple of times. Ryback hits some right hands and then a shoulder charge but Jericho avoids a splash in the corner and hits some chops. Ryback leaves the ring, takes a minute, looks to get in the ring but then retreats again. Jericho hits a baseball slide and then leaves the ring and smashes Ryback off the barrier. Back in the ring and Jericho hits a flying forearm from the top before laying in some forearms and chops. Ryback explodes out of the corner with a clothesline and then lays in some boots. Jericho hits some kicks to the previously injured leg of Ryback which causes the big guy to step out on to the apron in retreat. Jericho looks for a springboard dropkick but instead Ryback drops Jericho on the top rope.

Ryback hits a splash for a two count and then locks on chinlock. Ryback and Jericho become the first men to have wrestled on every pay per view so far in 2013. He goes up to the middle rope and hits a splash for a two count. Jericho hits a roll-up from nowhere but Ryback clotheslines him to the mat. Jericho rolls out to the apron where Ryback knocks him off to the outside. Ryback rolls Jericho back into the ring and then kicks him in the ribs and stomps on his head. Ryback applies a chinlock which Jericho fights out of. Jericho hits some right hands and a northern lights suplex for a two count and then looks to lock on the Walls Of Jericho but Ryback kicks him away. Jericho hits a big boot and a shoulder charge before going to the top but getting caught with a belly to belly suplex. Ryback hits a meathook clothesline and motions for his finisher. Jericho fights out of shellshock and looks for a codebreaker but Ryback counters.

Ryback hits a powerbomb for a near fall and then looks for a clothesline but Jericho hits him with a low dropkick. Jericho hits an enzeguri for a two count and then a codebreaker through the ropes as Ryback was on the apron. Ryback falls to the outside but just beats the count back into the ring. Jericho heads to the top and hits a high cross body for a near fall. Ryback looks to hit shellshock out of nowhere but Jericho counters with a DDT. Jericho hits right hands and then knocks Ryback down and looks for a lionsault but Ryback moves, Jericho lands on his feet and Ryback rolls Jericho up for the three! The finish came from nowhere but it’s a big win for Ryback who hasn’t won a PPV match in a long time.

Alberto Del Rio (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler – World Heavyweight Championship match

This is a second pay per view match between these two men, a rematch from Payback last month where Del Rio beat Ziggler for the World Heavyweight Championship. Both men are 1-1 at Money In The Bank events. There is no Ricardo Rodriguez and no AJ Lee and Big E at ringside for this one. Dolph Ziggler is definitely the fan favourite in this one. He rolls up Del Rio seconds after the bell rings and barely gets a one count. Del Rio hits a reverse elbow for a one count and then a headlock takedown. Del Rio hits a shoulder knockdown but then gets caught with a nice dropkick. Ziggler gets a two count and then hits a big splash in the corner for a one count. Ziggler hits ten consecutive elbow drops and then clotheslines Alberto out of the ring. Ziggler smashes Del Rio off the ring apron and then rolls him back into the ring but it gives Del Rio chance to get up and hit a running enzeguri.

On the outside Del Rio throws Dolph into the barricade and then into the ring for a two count. Del Rio hits a few knee drops and starts to target the head of Ziggler. He applies a chinlock but Ziggler fights out of it and hits a sunset flip for a two count. Dolph hits a dropkick but misses with a splash in the corner and hits the ringpost. Del Rio kicks Dolph in the head and then stomps away at him. Alberto then chokes Ziggler on the bottom rope and hits him with right hands. Del Rio hits five clubbing blows to the kidneys and then one to the back of the head. Del Rio then misses with a guillotine on the middle rope and goes crashing to the outside. Del Rio drops Ziggler on the top rope and then heads to the top but Dolph goes up with him and hits a facebuster. Ziggler gets a two count on the pinfall and the two men slug it out. Del Rio misses with a shoulder charge in the corner and Dolph then hits a neckbreaker for a near fall. Del Rio side steps a fame-asser and hits a German suplex for a near fall.

Del Rio avoids a dropkick and rams Ziggler into the corner. Ziggler ducks an enzeguri and hits a fame-asser for a near fall. Del Rio avoids a zigzag and hits a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker for a near fall. Del Rio heads to the top but Ziggler hits him with a dropkick on the way down for a near fall. AJ’s music then hits and out skips the Divas Champion! She skips around the ring and then watches on as Dolph asks her what she’s doing. He tells her to go to the back and she doesn’t. Ziggler then looks for a neckbreaker but Del Rio counters, looking for a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker but Ziggler counters with a DDT. Ziggler again tells AJ to go to the back as he heads to the top but Del Rio crotches him up there. Del Rio hits an inverted superplex for a near fall. Del Rio hits a flapjack and then kicks Ziggler in the head for a two count. Del Rio looks for a superkick to the head but Ziggler blocks him. AJ then gets in the ring and nails Del Rio with the WWE Divas Championship! The referee calls for the bell! Alberto Del Rio wins the match by disqualification!

Really good match between these two. Dolph and AJ argue with one another after the bell. AJ tries to apologise but Ziggler is angry and leaves her in the ring.

Rating: 7.5/10

There’s a tribute to the national guard and a call to applaud some of them in attendance.

John Cena (c) vs. Mark Henry – WWE Championship match

This is a first time pay per view match between these two men. John Cena is 1-2 at Money In The Bank events, Mark Henry is 1-1. Mark Henry surprisingly gets a decent pop. He’s actually really over in this match but after the fake retirement promo he did a few weeks ago, who cam blame them for cheering him, it was brilliant. Cena runs at Henry as the bell rings but Mark knees the WWE Champion and hits him with a headbutt. Nobody has main evented as many PPV’s in the WWE as John Cena. Henry hits a hard Irish whip and then a splash in the corner for the first near fall of the match. Henry hits another headbutt which sends Cena out of the ring. Mark follows Cena out of the ring and then suplexes him sternum-first on to the ring steps before rolling him back into the ring for a near fall. This match has a slow pace to it but the fans seem into it. Saying that, a “Daniel Bryan” chant has now broken out.

Mark Henry hits a guillotine on Cena on the middle rope and then pins the WWE Champion for a two count. Cena manages to block a right hand and hit a couple of his own and then a dropkick but he runs into a clothesline from Henry. Mark hits a giant swing on Cena sending him out of the ring again. Henry goes outside and hits a giant swing on Cena into the barricade. Back in the ring and Cena avoids a splash in the corner and then looks to powerslam the world’s strongest man but collapses with Henry’s weight on top of him. Henry gets a near fall and then applies a cravat but Cena powers out of it. The two men then slug it out and Cena wins the exchange, hitting two shoulder charges to knock down Mark Henry for the first time in this match. Cena hits a side suplex and the five knuckle shuffle. Cena then scoops Henry up for the attitude adjustment but collapses under the weight. Mark gets another near fall and then looks for a powerslam but Cena counters with a DDT.

John Cena sets up for the attitude adjustment and this time hits it! He hooks the leg but Mark Henry kicks out at 2. Cena heads to the top but Mark Henry catches him on the way down and hits a world’s strongest slam! He hooks the leg but Cena kicks out! Henry pulls off the top turnbuckles but then leaves the ring and grabs a couple of chairs and slides them into the ring. The referee slides the chairs out of the ring and Henry rips off one of the other turnbuckles. Cena pushes Henry into the exposed turnbuckle and then locks on the STF! Mark gets to the bottom rope to break the hold. Henry shoves Cena away and Cena accidentally knocks down the referee. Henry hits a low blow on Cena and pins him but Cena kicks out. Henry looks for another world’s strongest slam but Cena counters and locks on the STF! Mark Henry taps out! Cena wins the match and retains the WWE Championship! Good psychology in this match.

We go to the kick-off panel where Big Show predicted Mark Henry to win earlier. Big Show and Kofi Kingston put over Mark Henry.

Randy Orton vs. Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Christian vs. Rob Van Dam vs. CM Punk – WWE Championship All Stars Money In The Bank Ladder match 

We’re down to six superstars in this match and they’re all babyfaces. As Money In The Bank PPV records go, Randy Orton is 0-2, Sheamus is 2-1, Daniel Bryan is 1-1, Christian is 1-2, CM Punk is 2-0 and Rob Van Dam makes his debut at the event tonight. It’s a cagey start as the bell rings. The crowd chant for RVD and he looks to do his signature pose all five men take out Van Dam, kicking him out of the ring. Sheamus then goes after Christian but all four men in the ring kick Sheamus out of the ring. Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan then go at it and CM Punk pairs off with Christian. Punk throws Christian out of the ring and Daniel Bryan launches out Orton. CM Punk and Daniel Bryan are left in the ring but they take out RVD who tries to get into the ring. Bryan and Punk then circle each other before slugging it out. Punk hits a big chop on Bryan and then sets up for the go to sleep but Bryan counters. Sheamus then takes out both men with a ladder before hitting Christian with the ladder. Orton dropkicks Sheamus to the mat.

Van Dam comes in off the top with a kick to Sheamus and then lays out CM Punk and Daniel Bryan with kicks. Van Dam monkey flips Christian across the ring and then takes out Orton! Christian looks for unprettier on Van Dam but RVD counters with a gorilla press slam. Van Dam then back drops Daniel Bryan on to a ladder and hits rolling thunder! Orton throws RVD out of the ring but Van Dam lands on the apron and kicks Orton down. RVD then goes to the top but Christian knocks him to the outside. Christian slides a couple of ladders into the ring and hits Orton with one of them to knock him out of the ring. Christian then sets up a ladder in the middle of the ring and climbs it but Sheamus pulls him down. Sheamus hits a big shoulder charge in the corner and then climbs the ladder but Christian goes up with him and climbs over Sheamus. Sheamus looks for a crucifix powerbomb but Christian slips down. Sheamus takes Christian out with a ladder.

Sheamus sets up another ladder in the middle of the ring and climbs it but Rob Van Dam pushes it over. That was a nasty fall for Sheamus. Sheamus gets up and hits RVD with a running knee and then a rolling senton onto a ladder. Daniel Bryan pulls Sheamus out of the ring but Sheamus smashes Bryan off the announce desk and then throws him into the barricade. Sheamus then sets up a ladder bridging across the ring to the announces desk. Sheamus looks to powerbomb Daniel Bryan through it but Bryan counters and hits a running knee on the Celtic Warrior. CM Punk is left alone in the ring and he sets up a ladder but Randy Orton gets in the ring and diverts CM Punk’s attention. Punk climbs the ladder but Orton stops him. Orton then climbs the ladder but Christian is the man to stop him. CM Punk climbs the ladder again as Christian and Orton are going at it. Meanwhile Daniel Bryan sets up another ladder next to it and climbs it. All six men then climb the two ladders and slug it out at the top until they all crash down to the mat. Orton looks like he may have hurt himself there.

Sheamus if the first man up and he takes out CM Punk and Daniel Bryan. Sheamus then rams Christian into a ladder and hits him with white noise. Sheamus sets up a ladder and climbs it before nipping down to hit RVD with the ladder and take him out with a brogue kick. Sheamus climbs to the top of the ladder but Daniel Bryan goes up with him and the two men exchange right hands. Sheamus then hits ten clubbing blows to the chest of Bryan which knocks him to the mat. CM Punk is the man to pull Sheamus to the mat. Punk hits Sheamus with chops and right hands but Sheamus fires back with some big right hands of his own. Punk avoids a ladder attack and hits a running knee and a splash with the ladder. Punk bows and then grabs the ladder but Randy Orton attacks him from behind. Punk and Orton go at it and Orton hits a t-bone suplex in the ladder. Orton hits a hangmans DDT on Punk causing him to roll out of the ring. Christian hits Orton with a spear.

Christian sets up the ladder in the middle of the ring and climbs it but Rob Van Dam knocks him off. RVD hits a spinning legdrop and climbs the ladder but Christian pulls him down. The crowd want tables. Christian lays into Rob Van Dam and then sets up a ladder and climbs it. Van Dam climbs the other side and the two men slug it out. The ladder falls over but RVD manages to land on another ladder and hits the five star frog splash on Christian. Van Dam climbs a ladder in the middle of the ring and Sheamus goes up with him. Van Dam knocks Sheamus off but sheamus pushes the ladder over. Daniel Bryan hits kicks on both Van Dam and Sheamus. Bryan then hits Orton with a ladder before dropkicking it into Randy and then hitting a suicide dive on CM Punk! Bryan heads to the top and hits a double missile dropkick on Sheamus and Van Dam. It’s all Daniel Bryan as he takes out Orton and Van Dam with ladder before knocking Sheamus off the top with a ladder and sending him crashing through the ladder bridging the announce table that Sheamus set up earlier!

Daniel Bryan sets up the ladder and climbs it but in comes Curtis Axel! Axel wipes out Bryan with a chair. This is random. Axel hits Bryan with a neckbreaker on the outside. Punk then gets up and hits a go to sleep on Curtis Axel! Was he sent out to help Punk? Paul Heyman then walks out and screams at Curtis Axel to leave CM Punk to it. Punk slides into the ring and climbs the ladder but Paul Heyman gets in the ring and rams Punk with another ladder! Heyman leaves and RVD rolls into the ring and climbs the ladder. Orton slides in and pulls RVD down, hitting an RKO in the process! Orton looks around and then climbs the ladder slowly, has another good look around and then pulls down the briefcase! Randy Orton wins the Money In The Bank briefcase! I really enjoyed this match.

And that was Money In The Bank 2013. It felt like a good show overall. There wasn’t a bad match on the whole card. The Money In The Bank ladder match that kicked things off was all about Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes. They have sewed the seeds as of late of a break-up between the team and this match was the exclamation point. Damien Sandow shoved Cody Rhodes off the top of the ladder to claim the briefcase himself. I like Sandow a lot, he’s a great promo and provides a lot of comedy value. I am confident that this will lead to a feud between Sandow and Rhodes. I wouldn’t actually mind seeing Rhodes beat Sandow for the briefcase and going on to cash it in himself. This was a good match though featuring the future talent of the WWE. Curtis Axel beat The Miz to retain the Intercontinental Championship. I don’t know, I’m just not buying Curtis Axel at the moment but maybe he’ll grow on me. I did wonder whether the title would change hands and put an end to Axels push but not tonight.

AJ Lee beat Kaitlyn in what might prove to be their last match for a while. There’s definitely a heel turn coming for Kaitlyn or Layla and I think a Kaitlyn heel turn might make sense. AJ has beaten Kaitlyn clean a couple of times now so I can’t see how Kaitlyn can come back form this. I’m pretty sure AJ and Ziggler will split up soon too as Dolph is proving popular as a heel. Ryback beat Chris Jericho in their match and I think it was the right result. It’s been a long time since Ryback won a pay per view match and he needs to get some heat back. Jericho doesn’t win many matches himself and tends to put some of the newer talent over. I’m not sure where Jericho has to go next, these sort of feuds in the upper-midcard suit him well and he works as a springboard for heels to get to the next level. I don’t think Ryback goes back to the main event scene any time soon but he’s in a good spot just underneath the main event.

Alberto Del Rio beat Dolph Ziggler by disqualification after AJ lee got involved and cost Ziggler the match. I think that will be the end of this relationship. They can go their separate ways now. I think Dolph might get another shot at the World Heavyweight Championship and might even win the belt back at Summerslam. John Cena then beat Mark Henry clean as you like to retain the WWE Championship. This puts the feud between these two men to a close. I can’t see Mark Henry coming back from that. He’s getting a lot of cheers at the moment, would they turn him face? Cena continues on as WWE champion. Randy Orton then won the Money In The Bank briefcase for a shot at the WWE Championship. Oh god, are we looking at another John Cena vs. Randy Orton feud? Orton won a good match that I think was better than the opener. Curtis Axel getting involved suggests a feud between he and Daniel Bryan whilst Paul Heyman costing CM Punk the match might mean we get Punk vs. Lesnar at Summerslam. A great match anyway.
