All the stats from the first 35 WWE PPVs. They go back to the first Wrestlemania all the way through to Summerslam 93. From Hogan and Piper to Yokozuna and Lex Luger. Expect to read statistics on pay per views, win and loss records, average match ratings as well as stats for tag teams and even managers. Welcome to Stat Pack Volume 7.

Since the last stat pack we’ve had five pay per views, Royal Rumble 93, Wrestlemania IX, UK Rampage 93 and Summerslam 93. When the last stat pack was posted the World Heavyweight champion was Bret Hart. Well at Wrestlemania he lost the belt to Yokozuna but 20 seconds later he lost the belt to Hulk Hogan. At King Of The Ring Hogan would defend the belt against Yokozuna and it was Yokozuna that would win the gold and still hold it now. Shawn Michaels was the Intercontinental champion and he still is now but he did lost the belt briefly to Marty Jannetty. Money Inc were the tag team champions and they would continue to hold onto the belts until just before Summerslam where The Steiner Brothers won the titles.

Since the last stat pack we’ve lost the likes of Ric Flair, Koko B. Ware, Big Boss Man, Nailz, The Nasty Boys, The Natural Disasters, The Beverly Brothers, Kamala, Skinner, The Bezerker, Tito Santana, Jim Duggan, and Repo Man.

However the roster has gained a few new talents including Bob Backlund, The Steiner Brothers, Bam Bam Bigelow, Jerry Lawler, Doink the Clown, Lex Luger, The 1-2-3 Kid, The Heavenly Bodies, The Smoking Gunns, Diesel and Ludvid Borga.

1993 has made an impact to the top pay per views list, most notably the inaugural King Of The Ring going straight in at #3. The Royal Rumble PPV is the only other new entry to the top 10 and although the show was quite disappointing, the overall quality of the show wasn’t bad. UK Rampage was the weakest show of the year with one one memorable match on that show (Michaels/Crush). Summerslam and Wrestlemania enter the middle of the list in at 15th and 20th respectively. You’ll notice the * next to 1993 on the best years list and that’s because the year is still in progress. The final PPV review of that year could affect how that year ranks hugely due to how close the list is.

Bret Hart finally climbs to the top of this list having only missed 5 PPVs since his debut at Wrestlemania 2. He switches places with Hulk Hogan who has only been on two pay per views since the last stat pack. Tito Santana holds onto his third position but he now shares it with Shawn Michaels who goes from joint 7th to joint 3rd having not missed a show in the last batch. Dibiase leapfrogs Hercules and Randy Savage but both men stay on the list in 6th and 7th respectively. Jake Roberts stays on the list having not wrestled in 1993 and Barry Darsows appearance in the Royal Rumble match is enough to keep him in the top 10 too. Jim Duggan is a new entry with losses to Lex Luger and Bam Bam Bigelow this year enough to enter the top 10 whilst no shows from Jim Neidhart and Jacques Rougeau means they slip out of the top 10.

This list looks similar to not only the last one but to the same list in the last stat pack. Remember this is matches wrestled in so is going to be slightly different to PPVs wrestled on because of wrestlers pulling double duty. And that is exactly what Bret Hart has been doing recently. He wrestled three matches to win the King Of The Ring tournament and then wrestled two matches at Summerslam. Those five matches along with performances at Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania mean that Hart has flown up from 4th to top of this list. He leapfrogs Santana and Savage who only wrestled one match each in the last period and Hogan who wrestled three matches which was enough to overtake Savage but not enough to keep Hart below him. Dibiase leapfrogs Hercules as does Shawn Michaels who also overtakes Jacques Rougeau and Jake Roberts. Jim Duggan and Barry Darsow enter the list at numbers 8 and 10 respectively and nobody from last time drops off!

This list of babyfaces is an interesting one for me. It features lots of the new WWE stars which shows how much they are willing to push the new guys in order to get them over. The Steiner Brothers debuted on PPV at The Royal Rumble and have defeated The Beverly Brothers, Headshrinkers, Heavenly Bodies and were on the winning side of an 8 man tag. The Smoking Gunns are another new team and their victories in the aforementioned 8 man tag as well as a 6 man tag means that they are undefeated too. Mr T, The Jumping Bomb Angels and Ricky Steamboat all keep their places on the list whilst the Ultimate Warrior leapfrogs Hogan after Hulk picked up two PPV losses out of 3 in 1993. Tatanka and Lex Luger are two new stars with 75% win records, the only match they both haven’t won was against each other, when they drew at King Of The Ring. Hulk Hogan drops from 5th to 9th. Interestingly on the last stat pack it only took a 60% win record to get on this list but the bar has now been raised and it takes a 72% record.

This list is very similar to the Most Wins list in the last stat pack. Despite there being 5 more PPVs in the bag, it still only takes 8 PPV wins to get on this list. The only new addition this time is The Undertaker who, after beating Giant Gonzalez twice joins the bottom of this list with 8 wins. Hogan and Savage keep their places at the top of this list whilst Bret Hart leapfrogs Ultimate Warrior into third place. Ted Dibiase is the biggest jump as he goes from joint 8th to joint 6th whilst everyone else on their list keeps their place. Not many changes.

This is a real who’s who list of guys who lost matches. Much of this list stays the same and it now takes 14 PPV losses to get on this list as opposed to 13. The top 3 stay the same with Santana leading the way for most losses. Hercules is in second with Shawn Michaels, who is still active, firmly on their tail. Bret Hart stays in 4th but is now joint with Ted Dibiase who lost on three of the five PPVs reviewed. Jake Roberts, Barry Darsow, Rick Martel and Greg Valentine all stay on the list whilst Jacques Rougeau drops off and Marty Jannetty is a new entry following losses at Royal Rumble and Summerslam.

Bezerker is another man who’s loss in the Rumble match raises him up this list, him to joint fourth. Also for the rumble match Paul Diamond had a new mask and became Max Moon which adds to his tally of losses as Kato and raises him up to 6th on this list. The only completely new entry is Kamala who’s loss to Doink The Clown at UK Rampage makes it three from three for him. The others around him all stay the same.

This is the first time that this list has ten people on it, oddly enough. Hulk Hogan unsuprisingly stays atop of this one adding two more main events since the last stat pack. Randy Savage and Ultimate Warrior keep their spots in second and third whilst Bret Hart not only enters this list for the first time but goes straight in at number four. Dibiase, Andre and Slaughter and joined by newcomer Yokozuna who has main evented against the likes of Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan and Lex Luger in a successful 1993. Michaels and Orndorff prop up the list with three main events a piece.

Randy Savage participated in the top four matches which is pretty unbelievable. Ultimate Warrior was in three of the top five matches which is probably more unbelievable. As a big Royal Rumble fan, there are three Rumble matches on this list.

This is such an odd list. It has people you’d expect to be on it like Flair, Hogan, Piper and Savage but then it also has the likes of Tony Atlas, Terry Taylor and Ron Bass who make up the list due to their participation in various Royal Rumble matches. Anyway, the top 7 stay exactly the same. The Red Roosters average takes a hit due to the 93 Royal Rumble but he keeps him place in 4th none the less. The first new entry is Lex Luger who after taking on Mr Perfect, Jim Duggan, Tatanka and Yokozuna goes straight in at number 8 with a 6.12 average rating. Randy Savage slips down from 8th to 10th after the 93 Royal Rumble also affected his overall rating whilst Ron Bass keeps him #9 slot. Hulk Hogans average rating goes up after matches at Wrestlemania 9 and King of The Ring.

Bret Hart leapfrogs Ultimate Warrior as Warrior hasn’t been seen since Summerslam 92. Dibiase overtakes Earthquake who wrestled his last match at Royal Rumble 93. Big Boss Man drops out of the list and his 9th place is taken up by Shawn Michaels who has been a workhorse recently, wrestling on the last 10 pay per views. Steamboat keeps his position in 10th.

Shawn Michaels second Intercontinental reign is also a new entry at 7th following his defences against Crush at King Of The Ring and Mr Perfect at Summerslam.

Sensational Sherri managed Tatanka at Wrestlemania and with the Native American winning it means that Sherri jumps up from 9th to 4th. Everything else stays roughly the same but it now takes a 60% win record to get on this list as opposed to 40% as seen previously.

This list sees a few changes since the last stat pack. Jim Cornette and Luna are two new entrants that go straight in at the top of the list due to their clients being unsuccessful in their matches. Harvey Wipplemans record also gets worse after Giant Gonzalez suffered back to back losses to The Undertaker. Mr Fuji’s record stays exactly the same whilst Afa is a new entrant. Jimmy Harts record gets slightly worst after he managed Hulk Hogan to 2 losses out of 3. Bobby Heenan, Slick and The Genius all exit this list.
