Welcome everybody to the 19th stat pack installment. This particular stat pack is dedicated the late, great, Owen Hart. And let me tell you why. Since doing these stat packs, there have been 5 men who’s stats for PPV matches have been above and beyond everyone elses. These 5 men are Bret Hart, The British Bulldog, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels and Owen Hart. But this is as far as Owen Hart will go. Within the 5 PPVs covered in this pack was Backlash 1999 which was Owen Harts final PPV match, a loss with Jeff Jarrett to the New Age Outlaws. Owen had one hell of a career, much better than I remember and so I dedicate this Stat Pack to him.
Since the last Stat Pack, posted after In Your House: Rock Bottom there have been a few title changes. The WWF title went back and forth between The Rock and Mankind before Rocky lost the title to current champion “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. Ken Shamrocks Intercontinental title went from Ken to Val Venis to Road Dogg to Goldust to The Godfather. The Tag Team title are now held by X Pac and Kane after they defeated Jeff Jarrett and Owen Hart. Shane McMahon beat X Pac for the European title and Al Snow is the Hardcore champion. Oh, and Debra now holds the Women’s title.
So let’s get to the stats, covering the first 95 WWE PPVs from the very first Wrestlemania to No Mercy 99 (UK).

13. 1988 (46)
14. 1985 (40.5)
15. 1986 (39.5)
There are five new PPVs to make the list and the top one is Royal Rumble 99 which featured Vince McMahon winning the Royal Rumble match and The Rock beating Mankind in a Last Man Standing match for the WWF title. This show is good enough to be ranked fourth of all time. Wrestlemania 15, St Valentine’s Day Massacre and Backlash 99 are all ranked between 22nd and 29th whilst No Mercy UK is the lowest ranked show of the new batch going in at 81st of all time. Not even a triple threat main event between Steve Austin, Triple H and The Undertaker could save that one. As a result of those 5 PPVs, 1999 goes in at number 4 on the yearly ranking but it’s early days yet and it could go lower or more likely, higher.
Most PPVs Wrestled On
1. The Undertaker (61)
2. Bret Hart (57)
3. Owen Hart/The Blue Blazer (55)
4. Shawn Michaels (54)
5. The British Bulldog (48)
6= Billy Gunn (35)
6= “Stone Cold” Steve Austin (35)
8= Dustin Rhodes/Goldust (34)
8= Mick Foley (34)
10. Triple H (33)
This list is starting to become a defined top 10. The only change to the top 5 is Owen Hart who leapfrogs Shawn Michaels into the 3rd position. He has wrestled his last PPV match and couldn’t quite catch his brother but I have no doubt he’ll be on this list for some time to come. Billy Gunn stays in 6th but is now joined by Steve Austin who wrestled on all 5 of the last batch of shows. They are closer than ever to catching the top 5 but are still a years worth of PPVs away. Goldust drops down to 8th after he missed No Mercy UK and is joined by Mick Foley who does not miss a show. Triple H now has the tenth spot on his own as Jake Roberts falls of the list. The only person near to it on the current roster is The Rock and even he is 7 PPVs away. Everyone on this list has fought on at least one in three PPVs in WWF history, with the top 5 having fought on at least half and The Undertaker has nearly fought on two thirds.
Most PPV Matches
1. The Undertaker (64)
2. Bret Hart (63)
3. Owen Hart/The Blue Blazer (58)
4. Shawn Michaels (55)
5. The British Bulldog (49)
6. Mick Foley (38)
7. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin (37)
8= Billy Gunn (36)
8= Dustin Rhodes/Goldust (36)
10. Triple H (35)
We have exactly the same guys on this list as we did the last. The Undertaker has finally toppled Bret on to the top spot though and holds the record previously held by Bret Hart and Randy Savage. Owen Hart goes above Shawn Michaels to complete the top 3. Austin now has the 7th spot to himself and Billy Gunn rises from 9th to 8th, now joint with Goldust who drops one position. Triple H is a new entry and replaces “Macho Man” Randy Savage.
Highest PPV Win Percentage (2+ matches)
1. Max Mini 100% (3 matches)
2= The Jumping Bomb Angels 100% (2 matches)
2= Shane McMahon 100% (2 matches)
2= Nova 100% (2 matches)
2= Mr T 100% (2 matches)
2= Butterbean 100% (2 matches)
7. Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat 80% (10 matches)
8. The Ultimate Warrior 79% (19 matches)
9. Sable 75% (8 matches)
10. Tiger Ali Singh 75% (4 matches)
Well this is an interesting list with no less than four new entries. Christian has lost his last two PPV matches so drops off the list altogether leaving Max Mini to reclaim the top spot. Shane McMahon joins the list with two wins over X Pac whilst Butterbean beating Bart Gunn at Wrestlemania joins him in joint second. Steamboat and Warrior keep their places whilst Sable jumps from 10th to 9th and Tiger Ali Singh falls from second to 10th.
Most PPV Wins
1. The Undertaker (36)
2. Bret Hart (35)
3. Owen Hart (27)
4. The British Bulldog (25)
5= Shawn Michaels (24)
5= “Stone Cold” Steve Austin (24)
7. Hulk Hogan (21)
8= “Macho Man” Randy Savage (18)
8= Billy Gunn (18)
10. Triple H (16)
The minimum amount of wins needed to get on this list has now gone up from 15 to 16. The Undertaker goes top of this list, leapfrogging Bret Hart. Owen Hart is third on his own following tag team victories at St Valentine’s Day Massacre and Wrestlemania. Steve Austin goes from 7th to joint 5th following 4 wins from the last 5 shows, dropping Hulk Hogan down a spot to 7th. Billy Gunn joins Randy Savage in 8th place following victories over the likes of Mankind. Triple H got one win, over X Pac at Backlash which is enough for him to take 10th spot on his own, dropping The Ultimate Warrior and LOD off the list. It’s nice to have the likes of Hogan and Savage on this list.
Most PPV Draws
1. Shawn Michaels (5)
2= Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake (3)
2= The British Buldog (3)
2= Mankind (3)
5= The Undertaker (2)
5= The Rock (2)
5= Triple H (2)
5= Yokozuna (2)

5= Vader (2)
5= Bad News Brown (2)
5= “Mr Wonderful” Paul Orndorff (2)
5= Don Muraco (2)
I decided to go with a top 13 on this list as opposed to a top 5, keeping everyone that has drawn 2 matches on it. Mankind is a man that goes into the top 4 after his draw with The Rock at St Valentines Day Massacre. The Rock is a new entry to this list after that draw.
Most PPV Losses
1. Owen Hart/The Blue Blazer (30)
2. Bret Hart (27)
3= Shawn Michaels (26)
3= The Undertaker (26)
5. Dustin Rhodes/Goldust (25)
6. Tito Santana (22)
7= The British Bulldog (21)
7= Jake “The Snake” Roberts (21)
9= Marty Jannetty (20)
9= Mick Foley (20)
It’s official. When Owen Hart passed away, nobody had lost as many PPV matches. Bret Hart stays in second and The Undertaker, following his loss at No Mercy UK, joins Shawn Michaels in third. Goldust is now 5th on his own following 3 PPV losses in his last 4 matches. The only other change to this list is a new entry in Mick Foley who joins Marty Jannetty in 10th. As a result, Crush, Hercules and Henry Godwinn drop off the list.
Highest Loss Percentage
1. Koko B.Ware 100% (11 matches)
2. Boris Zhukov 100% (7 matches)

5= Ron Bass 100% (5 matches)
5= The Bezerker 100% (5 matches)
7= Barry Windham 100% (4 matches)
7= Leilani Kai 100% (4 matches)
7= Ken Patera 100% (4 matches)
7= Paul Diamond (Max Moon/Kato) 100% (4 matches)
There are absolutely no changes to this ist. The likes of Jacqueline and Gillberg are only one loss off entering this list though.
Most Main Events
1. The Undertaker (28)
2. Bret Hart (24)
3. Shawn Michaels (21)
4. Hulk Hogan (20)
5. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin (19)
6= Diesel (12)
6= Mick Foley (12)
8. “Macho Man” Randy Savage (10)
9= The British Bulldog (9)
9= Yokozuna (9)
The top 10 for this list stay exactly the same. The top 5 stay the same but Steve Austin has very nearly caught Hulk Hogan up. Mick Foley jumps up from 7to to 6th joining Diesel with 12 PPV main events. Randy Savage falls down to 8th and Yokozuna and The Bulldog stay at joint 9th.

3= Mosaic & Tarantula vs. Max Mini & Nova – Badd Blood 97 (2/10)
The top rated matches is now a more streamlined list with only 11 matches on. There are a couple of new entries on there with Mankind and Rocks brutal encounter at the Royal Rumble PPV being the highest new entry. The 1999 Royal Rumbl ematch that featured on the same card is also a new addition to the list. The lowest rated matches stay exactly the same.

9. The New Age Outlaws 66.6% (12 matches)
10= The Nasty Boys 66.6% (3 matches)
10= Owen Hart & Jeff Jarrett 66.6% (3 matches)
There are two minor changes to this list from the last stat pack. The New Age Outlaws recorded a win at Backlash which put them up to 66.6% and up from 10th to 9th. Also Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett are a new entry having won two of their three matches on the last five PPVs.
Tag Teams With Highest PPV Loss Percentage (2+ matches)
1= Strike Force 100% (2 matches)
1= The Bolsheviks 100% (2 matches)
1= The Blu Brothers 100% (2 matches)
1= The Rock’n’Roll Express 100% (2 matches)

7= Power & Glory 66.6% (3 matches)
7= The Quebecers 66.6% (3 matches)
7= Skull & 8 Ball 66.6% (3 matches)
There is just one change to this list and that is D-lo Brown and Mark Henry moving up from joint 6th to 5th. At St Valentines Day Massacre they lost to the team of Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett giving them 3 losses from 4 matches. Al of the other teams stay the same. Ron and Don Harris are actually on this list twice as both the Blu Brothers and Skull & 8 Ball.
Highest Average Match Rating (2+ matches)
1. Vince McMahon (8)
2. Chyna (7.75)
3. Chainsaw Charlie (7.66)
4. Ric Flair (7.14)
5. Hakushi (7.06)
6. Mick Foley (7.02)
7. Aldo Montoya (7)
8. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin (6.95)
9. Kane (6.75)
10. The Godfather (6.75)
This list always makes for an interesting read. These are average match ratings given out by me. There are two new entries at the top in Vince McMahon and Chyna. On the last list I put Mick Foley, Mankind, Dude Love and Cactus Jack as four different entries in the top ten and they would all be in there again but I decided to use a combined average as Mick who is in the 6th spot. As a result Hakushi, Aldo Montoya, Steve Austin and Kane all move up a place and we have a new entry in The Godfather who sits in the tenth position.
Lowest Average Match Rating (2+ matches)
1. Corporal Kirchner (2.5)
2. Adrian Adonis (2.85)
3= Velvet McIntyre (3)
3= Fabulous Moolah (3)
5. Rockin Robin (3.5)
6. Judy Martin (3.58)
7= Recon (3.625)
7= Sniper (3.625)
9. Tama (3.66)
10. Leilani Kai (3.75)
There is only one change to this and this is Tiger Ali Singh dropping off the list from his top spot. He participated in the 1999 Royal Rumble match which got a very good rating and also beat Gillberg is a poor contest. The Rumble is enough to take him off this list though and he is replaced by Leilani Kai who joins in the tenth spot.
Bastions Top 10
1. The Undertaker (24971)
2. Bret Hart (24162)
3. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin (18600)
4. Shawn Michaels (17972)
5. Owen Hart (17425)
6. The British Bulldog (15644)
7. Hulk Hogan (15331)
8. “Macho Man” Randy Savage (11988)
9. Mick Foley (11731)
10. Billy Gunn (11041)
Bastions Top 10 is my top ten wrestlers of all time (up to this point) based on a complicated formula of average match rating, matches wrestled, win percentages and main events. This shows how much each superstar impacted the company and gives me a top 10 ranking. Since the last Stat Pack, The Undertaker has risen to the top of this list. The highest jumper is Steve Austin who has gone from 7th to 3rd! Michaels, Owen, Bulldog and Hogan all fall down a place. Savage and Foley keep their spots in 8th and 9th respectively whilst Billy Gunn is a new entry and replaces The Ultimate Warrior in 10th.
Top 10 Title Reigns
1. Diesel – 1st World Heavyweight Title Reign
2. Shawn Michaels – 1st World Heavyweight Title Reign
3. The British Bulldog & Owen Hart – 1st Tag Team Title Reign
4. Hulk Hogan – 1st World Heavyweight Title Reign
5. The Undertaker – 2nd World Heavyweight Title Reign
6. The Rock – 2nd Intercontinental Title Reign
7. The New Age Outlaws – 3rd Tag Team Title Reign
8. Ken Shamrock – 1st Intercontinental Title Reign
9. Yokozuna – 2nd World Heavyweight Title Reign
10. Bret Hart – 3rd World Heavyweight Title Reign
Ken Shamrock is a new entry to this list after his successful Intercontinental title reign. He beat the likes of Mankind, Steve Blackman and Billy Gunn in PPV singles matches until eventually losing the gold to Val Venis at St Valentine’s Day Massacre. As a result, The NEw Age Outlaws 2nd tag team title reign falls off this list. I like how on this list nobody is repeated and we have completely different champions.
Most Matches Managed
1. Jimmy Hart (64)
2. Paul Bearer (50)
3. Mr Fuji (40)
4. Bobby Heenan (37)
5. Jim Cornette (32)
6. Chyna (26)
7. Slick (23)
8. “Million Dollar Man” Ted Dibiase (21)
9= Miss Elizabeth (18)
9= Terri Runnels/Marlena (18)
No changes to this list! Paul Bearer creeps ever closer to Jimmy Hart and that top spot whilst Chyna slowly gets closer to Jim Cornette in 5th. Nobody else has managed a client on this list on the last 5 PPVs!
Highest Managerial Success Rate (2+ matches)
1. Paul Ellering 100% (2 matches)
2. Miss Elizabeth 77.7% (18 matches)
3. Jose Lothario 77.7% (9 matches)

8. Sensational Sherri 50% (12 matches)
9. Frenchy Martin 50% (6 matches)
10.Tennessee Lee 50% (4 matches)
It’s been a slow 5 months for managers as there is only the smallest of change on this list and that is Paul Bearers win percentage going from 55% to 56%! Everything else stays exactly the same!
Highest Managerial Loss Rate (2+ matches)
1. Hillbilly Jim 100% (6 matches)
2= Uncle Zeb 100% (3 matches)
3= Cowboy Bob Orton 100% (2 matches)
3= Kim Chee 100% (2 matches)
3= Oliver Humperdink 100% (2 matches)
3= Ivory 100% (2 matches)
3= The Blue Meanie 100% (2 matches)
8. Harvey Wippleman 84.6% (13 matches)
9= General Adnan 80% (5 matches)
9= Luna 80% (10 matches)
This final list gives us a variety of different names. Debra has led her team of Jeff Jarrett and Owen Hart to a couple of victories and so falls off this list. Ivory and The Blue Meanie are two new entries that go straight into the top 3 having led their clients to back to back PPV losses. Diana Smith and Yamaguchi San are the two managers that fall off the list.
