Welcome everybody to the 19th stat pack installment. This particular stat pack is dedicated the late, great, Owen Hart. And let me tell you why. Since doing these stat packs, there have been 5 men who’s stats for PPV matches have been above and beyond everyone elses. These 5 men are Bret Hart, The British Bulldog, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels and Owen Hart. But this is as far as Owen Hart will go. Within the 5 PPVs covered in this pack was Backlash 1999 which was Owen Harts final PPV match, a loss with Jeff Jarrett to the New Age Outlaws. Owen had one hell of a career, much better than I remember and so I dedicate this Stat Pack to him.

Since the last Stat Pack, posted after In Your House: Rock Bottom there have been a few title changes. The WWF title went back and forth between The Rock and Mankind before Rocky lost the title to current champion “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. Ken Shamrocks Intercontinental title went from Ken to Val Venis to Road Dogg to Goldust to The Godfather. The Tag Team title are now held by X Pac and Kane after they defeated Jeff Jarrett and Owen Hart. Shane McMahon beat X Pac for the European title and Al Snow is the Hardcore champion. Oh, and Debra now holds the Women’s title.

There are five new PPVs to make the list and the top one is Royal Rumble 99 which featured Vince McMahon winning the Royal Rumble match and The Rock beating Mankind in a Last Man Standing match for the WWF title. This show is good enough to be ranked fourth of all time. Wrestlemania 15, St Valentine’s Day Massacre and Backlash 99 are all ranked between 22nd and 29th whilst No Mercy UK is the lowest ranked show of the new batch going in at 81st of all time. Not even a triple threat main event between Steve Austin, Triple H and The Undertaker could save that one. As a result of those 5 PPVs, 1999 goes in at number 4 on the yearly ranking but it’s early days yet and it could go lower or more likely, higher.

This list is starting to become a defined top 10.  The only change to the top 5 is Owen Hart who leapfrogs Shawn Michaels into the 3rd position. He has wrestled his last PPV match and couldn’t quite catch his brother but I have no doubt he’ll be on this list for some time to come. Billy Gunn stays in 6th but is now joined by Steve Austin who wrestled on all 5 of the last batch of shows. They are closer than ever to catching the top 5 but are still a years worth of PPVs away. Goldust drops down to 8th after he missed No Mercy UK and is joined by Mick Foley who does not miss a show. Triple H now has the tenth spot on his own as Jake Roberts falls of the list. The only person near to it on the current roster is The Rock and even he is 7 PPVs away. Everyone on this list has fought on at least one in three PPVs in WWF history, with the top 5 having fought on at least half and The Undertaker has nearly fought on two thirds.

We have exactly the same guys on this list as we did the last. The Undertaker has finally toppled Bret on to the top spot though and holds the record previously held by Bret Hart and Randy Savage. Owen Hart goes above Shawn Michaels to complete the top 3. Austin now has the 7th spot to himself and Billy Gunn rises from 9th to 8th, now joint with Goldust who drops one position. Triple H is a new entry and replaces “Macho Man” Randy Savage.

Well this is an interesting list with no less than four new entries. Christian has lost his last two PPV matches so drops off the list altogether leaving Max Mini to reclaim the top spot. Shane McMahon joins the list with two wins over X Pac whilst Butterbean beating Bart Gunn at Wrestlemania joins him in joint second. Steamboat and Warrior keep their places whilst Sable jumps from 10th to 9th and Tiger Ali Singh falls from second to 10th.

The minimum amount of wins needed to get on this list has now gone up from 15 to 16. The Undertaker goes top of this list, leapfrogging Bret Hart. Owen Hart is third on his own following tag team victories at St Valentine’s Day Massacre and Wrestlemania. Steve Austin goes from 7th to joint 5th following 4 wins from the last 5 shows, dropping Hulk Hogan down a spot to 7th. Billy Gunn joins Randy Savage in 8th place following victories over the likes of Mankind. Triple H got one win, over X Pac at Backlash which is enough for him to take 10th spot on his own, dropping The Ultimate Warrior and LOD off the list. It’s nice to have the likes of Hogan and Savage on this list.

This list always makes for an interesting read. These are average match ratings given out by me. There are two new entries at the top in Vince McMahon and Chyna. On the last list I put Mick Foley, Mankind, Dude Love and Cactus Jack as four different entries in the top ten and they would all be in there again but I decided to use a combined average as Mick who is in the 6th spot. As a result Hakushi, Aldo Montoya, Steve Austin and Kane all move up a place and we have a new entry in The Godfather who sits in the tenth position.

Bastions Top 10 is my top ten wrestlers of all time (up to this point) based on a complicated formula of average match rating, matches wrestled, win percentages and main events. This shows how much each superstar impacted the company and gives me a top 10 ranking. Since the last Stat Pack, The Undertaker has risen to the top of this list. The highest jumper is Steve Austin who has gone from 7th to 3rd! Michaels, Owen, Bulldog and Hogan all fall down a place. Savage and Foley keep their spots in 8th and 9th respectively whilst Billy Gunn is a new entry and replaces The Ultimate Warrior in 10th.

As a result, The NEw Age Outlaws 2nd tag team title reign falls off this list. I like how on this list nobody is repeated and we have completely different champions.
