Stat Pack Vol 34

Welcome everybody to my 34th WWE Stat Pack! I have been watching every WWF PPV from the very beginning, back from Wrestlemania 1 and reviewing each and every show. Every 5 PPVs I have put together and updated a stat pack which records all the major stats, facts and figures from the big shows. Within this Stat Pack you’ll see all the PPVs ranked as well as which wrestlers have fought the most matches, who has the most wins and losses, all matches rated and who has the best average match rating as well as figures on the tag teams, managers and much more. This Stat Pack covers from the original Wrestlemania through to No Mercy 2004,  an eye-watering 170 PPVs.

Since the last Stat Pack was posted just after Bad Blood 2004 a lot has gone on. On Raw Chris Benoit lost the World Heavyweight Championship to Randy Orton at Summerslam but Randy would only hold the title for a month before he lost it to Triple H. Randy would also lose his Intercontinental Championship to Edge before Edge got injured and had to vacate the title which was then won by Chris Jericho. Trish Stratus and La Resistance continue their Women’s and World Tag Team Championship reigns respectively. On Smackdown John “Bradshaw” Layfield beat Eddie Guerrero for the WWE Championship, John Cena was stripped of the United States Championship before winning it back from Booker T in a best of 5 series. The WWE Tag Team Championships have gone from Rico and Charlie Haas to The Dudley Boyz to Billy Kidman and Paul London and finally to Rene Dupree and Kenzo Suzuki. Rey Mysterio beat Chavo Guerrero for the Cruiserweight title but soon after he lost it to Spike Dudley. Oh, and Teddy Long is the new Smackdown General Manager.

So we’re all up to date, now let’s get to the stats.

17. 1987 (47)
18. 1988 (46)
19. 1985 (40.5)
20. 1986 (39.5)

Well the pay per views as of late have been very disappointing. The best of which was surprisingly a Smackdown brand PPV in No Mercy 2004. That goes in as the joint 38th best PPV of all time, co-incidentally equal with No Mercy 2000. Summerslam 2004 is the second best show of the year so far, with a 60.3 out of 100 rating. The Great American Bash 2004 was one of the worst shows in recent memory with a 48.4 out of 100 rating. Overall it puts 2004 in tenth place so far, slightly improving over the last 5 pay per views.

Most PPV’s Wrestled On

1. The Undertaker (107)
2. Triple H (90)
3. Glenn Jacobs (Fake Diesel/Isaac Yankem/Kane) (76)
4. Shawn Michaels (70)
5. The Rock (67)
6. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin (66)
7. Billy Gunn (63)
8. Chris Jericho (60)
9. Edge (59)
10. Christian (58)

This list goes from a top 11 to a top 10. It’s unbelievable to think that Bret Hart drops off this list after being top of the list for so long. The top 7 stay in exactly the same order with Undertaker still leading the way, 17 ahead of Triple H. Chris Jericho stays in 8th but is no longer joined by Edge and Christian who drop to 9th and 10th respectively. Like I said before, Bret Hart is now off this list.

Most PPV Matches

1. The Undertaker (110)
2. Triple H (92)
3. Glenn Jacobs (Kane/Fake Diesel/Isaac Yankem) (77)
4. The Rock (72)
5. Shawn Michaels (71)
6. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin (69)
7. Billy Gunn (67)
8. Bret Hart (63)
9. Chris Jericho (62)
10. Edge (60)

Bret Hart does keep his spot on this list though. The top 9 stay the same for this list with the only difference being that Edge is in 10th on his own now as Owen Hart drops off. It takes 60 PPV matches to get on this list which means wrestling on over 1 in 3 PPV’s ever. Chris Jericho has managed it though and he’s the newest guy to debut in the top 10.

Highest PPV Win Percentage (2+ matches)

1. Max Mini 100% (3 matches)
2= Kenzo Suzuki 100% (2 matches)
2= Mordecai 100% (2 matches)
2= Paul Heyman 100% (2 matches)
2= The Jumping Bomb Angels 100% (2 matches)
2= Nicole Bass 100% (2 matches)
2= Mini Nova 100% (2 matches)

10. Sable 81.8% (11 matches)

12. The Ultimate Warrior 79% (19 matches)
13. Torrie Wilson 77.7% (9 matches)
14= Tiger Ali Singh 75% (4 matches)
14= The Fabulous Moolah 75% (4 matches)

At this stage, this is quite a familiar list. Kenzo Suzuki and Mordecai, two newcomers to Smackdown are new entries, both men having won their first two PPV matches. Sable drops a place to 10th despite beating Torrie Wilson at The Great American Bash 2004. As a result, Torrie drops 5 places from 8th to 13th. Ricky steamboat drops 2 places whilst The Ultimate Warrior drops one place. Tiger Ali Singh and The Fabulous Moolah drop a position to 14th whilst the likes of Randy Orton, Rick Steiner, Batista and Steven Richards drop off this list altogether.

Most PPV Wins

1. The Undertaker (60)
2. Triple H (47)
3. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin (37)
4. The Rock (36)
5. Bret Hart (35)
6. Kurt Angle (32)
7= Shawn Michaels (29)
7= Kane (29)
9= Billy Gunn (28)
9= Edge (28)

This top ten list doesn’t change too much since the last Stat Pack. The top 6 are actually in exactly the same order with none of them getting any more than 2 wins on the last 5 pay per views. Shawn Michaels and Kane have both picked up one victory each which keeps them at joint 7th but Billy Gunn slips down to 9th, joint with new entry to this list, Edge.

Most PPV Draws

1. Shawn Michaels (6)
2= The Undertaker (4)
2= Triple H (4)
4= Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake (3)
4= The British Bulldog (3)
4= Mankind (3)
4= Glenn Jacobs (Kane, Fake Diesel, Isaac Yankem) (3)
4= “Stone Cold” Steve Austin (3)
9= The Rock (2)
9= Yokozuna (2)
9= Vader (2)
9= Bad News Brown (2)
9= “Mr Wonderful” Paul Orndorff (2)
9= Don Muraco (2)

This list stays the same due to no draws on the last 5 PPV’s.

Most PPV Losses

1. The Undertaker (46)
2. Glenn Jacobs (Kane/Fake Diesel/Isaac Yankem) (45)
3. Triple H (41)
4. Billy Gunn (39)
5. Shawn Michaels (36)
6. Chris Jericho (35)
7= The Rock (34)
7= Christian (34)
9. The Big Show (33)
10= Edge (32)
10= Goldust/Dustin Rhodes (32)

The same 11 names featured on this list are the same as on the last stat pack. The top 5 stay the same but it’s Chris Jericho who moves up to 6th following losses to the likes of Batista and Edge. The Rock moves down to 7th, joint with Christian. The Big Show moves down to 9th whilst Edge and Goldust stay in 10th.

Highest PPV Loss Percentage

1. Koko B. Ware 100% (11 matches)
2= Boris Zhukov 100% (7 matches)
2= Bryan Clark/Adam Bomb 100% (7 matches)
4= Skinner 100% (6 matches)
5= Dawn Marie 100% (5 matches)
5= Ron Bass 100% (5 matches)
5= The Bezerker 100% (5 matches)
5= Stacy Keibler 100% (5 matches)
9= Nunzio 100% (4 matches)
9= Maven 100% (4 matches)
9= Barry Windham 100% (4 matches)
9= Leilani Kai 100% (4 matches)
9= Ken Patera 100% (4 matches)
9= Paul Diamond (Max Moon/Kato) 100% (4 matches)
9= Duke “The Dumpster” Droese 100% (4 matches)
9= Kamala 100% (4 matches)

This list stays as a top 16 but there are a couple of changes. Rob Conway drops off the list following a couple of victories for him in tag team action. Dawn Marie moves up from joint 9th to joint 5th following her loss in 6 person tag team action at No Mercy 2004. Nunzio is the newest entry to this list, going in at joint 9th following his loss to Spike Dudley at No Mercy 2004. Everyone on this list has lost every pay per view match they have wrestled.

Most PPV Main Events

1. The Undertaker (50)
2= “Stone Cold” Steve Austin (40)
2= Triple H (40)
4. The Rock (32)
5. Shawn Michaels (28)
6. Bret Hart (24)
7. Hulk Hogan (23)
8. Kurt Angle (19)
9. Mick Foley (17)
10. Diesel/Kevin Nash (15)

Can The Undertaker be caught? Triple H goes one main event closer to him and goes joint with Stone Cold Steve Austin as a result. Nobody else on the list has main evented any of the last 5 PPV’s so this list doesn’t change in any other way. The likes of John “Bradshaw” Layfield, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit and Randy Orton have been in recent main events as a new era is ushered in.

Most PPV Matches Without Main Eventing

1. Christian (58)
2. Matt Hardy (43)
3. Jeff Hardy (41)
4. Test (32)
5. Jeff Jarrett (31)
6. Al Snow/Leif Cassidy (30)
7= Jake “The Snake” Roberts (29)
7= Val Venis (29)
9= D-lo Brown (28)
9= Charles Wright (Papa Shango/Kama/The Godfather) (28)

This list stays pretty much exactly the same. Christian, despite only a dozen men in WWE history up to now wrestling more PPV matches than him, stays at the top of the list. Matt Hardy is in second on his own now after wrestling a couple of mid-card matches against Kane. Everyone else stays exactly as they were as none of them have had a PPV match in the last 5 shows. Trish Stratus gets ever closer to making this list.

6. The Kat vs. Terri Runnels – Wrestlemnia 2000 (1.25/10)
7. Leif Cassidy vs. Tiger Ali Singh – One Night Only (1.75/10)
8= Paul Orndorff vs. Tito Santana – Wrestling Classic (2/10)
8= Fabulous Moolah vs. Velvet McIntyre – Wrestlemania II (2/10)
8= Uncle Elmer vs. Adrian Adonis – Wrestlemania II (2/10)
8= Corporal Kirchner vs. Nikolai Volkoff – Wrestlemania II (2/10)
8= Tony Garea vs. Ted Arcidi – The Big Event (2/10)
8= Haku vs. Don Muraco – The Big Event (2/10)
8= Adrian Adonis vs. Junkyard Dog – The Big Event (2/10)
8= Jake Roberts vs. Andre The Giant – Wrestlemania V (2/10)
8= Demolition vs. Tenryu & Kitao – Wrestlemania VII (2/10)
8= Jake “The Snake” Roberts vs. Jerry “The King” Lawler – Summerslam 96 (2/10)
8= Mosaic & Tarantula vs. Max Mini & Nova – Badd Blood 97 (2/10)
8= Ivory vs. Tori – Summerslam 99 (2/10)
8= Zach Gowan vs. Vince McMahon – Vengeance 2003 (2/10)
8= Torrie Wilson vs. Dawn Marie – Judgment Day 2004 (2/10)
8= Torrie Wilson vs. Sable – The Great American Bash 2004 (2/10)

There are a couple of new additions to these lists. Sadly no new matches to the best match list. There is a new worst pay per view match of all time in Stevie Richards (in drag) vs. Tyson Tomko at Vengeance 2004. I feel sorry for Stevie because he’s so good but this was just so bad. Torrie Wilson vs. Sable is also added to the worst list with a 2 out of 10, joint with Torrie’s previous PPV match against Dawn Marie.

Tag Teams With Highest PPV Win Percentage (2+ matches)

1. The Natural Disasters 100% (4 matches)
2. The Steiner Brothers 100% (3 matches)
3= Lance Storm & Christian 100% (2 matches)
3= Spike Dudley & Tazz 100% (2 matches)
3= Big Boss Man & Bull Buchanan 100% (2 matches)
3= Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff 100% (2 matches)
3= Men On A Mission 100% (2 matches)
3= The Brain Busters 100% (2 matches)
9. The Headbangers 77.7% (9 matches)
10= La Resistance (Rene Dupree & Sylvain Grenier) 75% (4 matches)
10= Owen Hart & Yokozuna 75% (4 matches)
12. The Legion Of Doom 69% (16 matches)
13. The World’s Greatest Tag Team 66.6% (6 matches)
14= The Basham Brothers 66.6% (3 matches)
14= Chris Jericho & Christian 66.6% (3 matches)
14= Kurt Angle & Chris Benoit 66.6% (3 matches)
14= Owen Hart & Jeff Jarrett 66.6% (3 matches)
14= The Nasty Boys 66.6% (3 matches)

This list stays exactly the same with all the same teams on it. Mostly because none of these teams have wrestled on the last 5 PPV’s and the teams that have such as La Resistance, Rene Dupree and Kenzo Suzuki and Rob Van Dam and Rey Mysterio are temporary teams that can’t pick up a string of wins. Too many two-PPV teams on this list for my liking.

Tag Teams With Highest PPV Loss Percentage (2+ matches)

1= Edge & Rey Mysterio 100% (2 matches)
1= Lance Storm & The Hurricane 100% (2 matches)
1= Strike Force 100% (2 matches)
1= The Bolsheviks 100% (2 matches)
1= The Blu Brothers 100% (2 matches)
1= The Rock’n’Roll Express 100% (2 matches)
7= D-lo Brown & Mark Henry 80% (5 matches)
7= Los Guerrero’s 80% (5 matches)
9. The APA 72.7% (11 matches)
10. The Godwinns 70% (10 matches)

There’s a small change to this list and that is the team of La Resistance (Sylvain Grenier & Rob Conway) drop off the list after they recorded victories over the likes of Rhyno & Tajiri and Ric Flair & Eugene over the past couple of months. At least this one is a nice round 10 teams now.

Highest Average Match Rating (2+ matches)

1. Cactus Jack (8.2)
2. Matt Morgan (7.75)
3. Chainsaw Charlie (7.66)
4. K-Kwik (7.5)
5. Kurt Angle (7.36)
6. Chris Benoit (7.25)
7. Stone Cold Steve Austin (7.16)
8. Shane McMahon (7.14)
9. Chris Jericho (7.09)
10. Hakushi (7.06)

This top 10 largely stays the same. Randy Orton was in 6th place before but he drops out. Everyone below him moves up a spot and Hakushi is a re-entry. Such a random list. Matt Morgan, Chainsaw Charlie and Hakushi, what are they doing on here? Royal Rumble matches, that’s why.

Lowest Average Match Rating (2+ matches)

1. Terri Runnels (1.66)
2. The Kat (2)
3. Tyson Tomko (2.125)
4. The Fabulous Moolah (2.5)
5. Corporal Kirchner (2.5)
6. Adrian Adonis (2.85)
7. Debra (2.875)
8. Stacy Keibler (2.9)
9= Velvet McIntyre (3)
9= Zach Gowan (3)
9= Jackie Gayda (3)

Tyson Tomko is a new entry to this list following his horrendous match with Stevie Richards. He goes in at number 3 behind Terri Runnels and The Kat. Fabulous Moolah, Corporal Kirchner, Adrian Adonis, Debra and Stacy Keibler all drop down a position. Velvet McIntyre and Zach Gowan also drop down a place but are now joined by Jackie Gayda. Torrie Wilson drops off this list altogether.

Bastions Top 10

1. The Undertaker (43559)
2. Triple H (36038)
3. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin (30525)
4. The Rock (28387)
5. Kurt Angle (25466)
6. Bret Hart (24162)
7. Shawn Michaels (22579)
8. Kane (20250)
9. Chris Jericho (20050)
10. Edge (18976)

This list is made up of a formula of matches wrestled, won, average match ratings, main events and win percentage. It creates a top 10 of the best of all time. The top 10 for this list stays the same in exactly the same order. Triple H does get slightly closer to The Undertaker but he’s still a way off. 7 of the top 10 are still on the active WWE roster at this point in 2004. The rest of the top 20 are made up of: Hulk Hogan, Chris Benoit, Owen Hart, The British Bulldog, Billy Gunn, Christian, Mick Foley, X Pac, Bubba Ray Dudley and The Road Dogg. The same 20 names.

Bastions Top 10 Women

1. Trish Stratus (6433)
2. Chyna (5553)
3. Sable (3875)
4. Jazz (2805)
5. Victoria (2662)
6. Ivory (2464)
7. Torrie Wilson (2216)
8. Lita (2085)
9. Molly Holly (1891)
10= Alundra Blayze (950)
10= Nicole Bass (950)

This list features the same 11 names but in a slightly different order. The same formula applies to this list as the previous one. The top 4 stay the same but Victoria rises from 7th to 5th following a victory over Molly Holly. Ivory and Torrie Wilson drop down a position but everyone else is as they were. I can’t actually believe Alundra Blayze and Nicole Bass are still on this list.

Top 10 Title Reigns

1. Diesel – 1st WWF Title Reign
2. Triple H – 2nd World Heavyweight Title Reign
3. Shawn Michaels – 1st WWF Title Reign
4. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin – 5th WWF Title Reign
5. The British Bulldog & Owen Hart – 1st Tag Team Title Reign
6. Hulk Hogan – 1st WWF Title Reign
7. Ivory – 3rd Women’s Title Reign
8. The Undertaker – 2nd WWF Title Reign
9. Kurt Angle – 1st WWF Title Reign
10. The Rock – 2nd Intercontinental Title Reign

Still no changes to this list. The closest to getting on it are La Resistance who are currently enjoying a long second World Tag Team title reign. I think another successful title defence could be enough for them to crack the top 10. Nobody features on this list twice as of yet.

Most Matches Managed

1. Jimmy Hart (64)
2. Paul Bearer (58)
3. Mr Fuji (40)
4. Bobby Heenan (37)
5. Chyna (36)
6. Jim Cornette (32)
7. Terri Runnels/Marlena (25)
8. Slick (23)
9= “Million Dollar Man” Ted Dibiase (21)
9= Stephanie McMahon (21)

This list stays exactly the same as before. Not much in the way of managers these days. Could anyone ever crack this list or will it stay like this forever?

Highest Managerial Success Rate (2+ matches)

1= Hiroko 100% (2 matches)
1= Tyson Tomko 100% (2 matches)
1= Paul Ellering 100% (2 matches)
1= Rico 100% (2 matches)
5. Miss Elizabeth 77.7% (18 matches)
6. Jose Lothario 77.7% (9 matches)
7= Jacqueline 75% (4 matches)
7= Chavo Guerrero Sr 75% (4 matches)
9. Ric Flair 72% (11 matches)
10. Nidia 71% (7 matches)

There are a few changes to this list caused mainly by two new entrants. Hiroko and Tyson Tomko have managed the likes of Kenzo Suzuki and Christian to success and as a result go in at the top of this list. Everyone else falls down 2 places and it’s Tori and Teddy Long that drop off this list.

Highest Managerial Loss Rate (2+ matches)

1. Hillbilly Jim 100% (6 matches)
2. Uncle Zeb 100% (3 matches)
3= Cowboy Bob Orton 100% (2 matches)
3= Kim Chee 100% (2 matches)
3= Oliver Humperdink 100% (2 matches)
3= The Blue Meanie 100% (2 matches)
7. Harvey Wippleman 84.6% (13 matches)
8. Luna 80% (10 matches)
9. General Adnan 80% (5 matches)
10= Diana Hart Smith 75% (4 matches)
10= Yamaguchi San 75% (4 matches)
10= Molly Holly 75% (4 matches)
10= Torrie Wilson 75% (4 matches)

This list stays exactly the same. Managers must be getting better.
